Soooo….. who’s planning to arrive at their wedding venue in a helicopter then? Nope? Hadn’t crossed your mind? It wouldn’t have been on my list either until today’s rather exciting Cotswolds wedding landed on my screen. But oh – what an adventure, and what memories to have from your wedding day!! Laura and Matt really did create an exceptional wedding, with vibrant florals and a stunning colour palette. The helicopter ride makes their day really unique!! Lucky for us, Upcote Barn wedding photographer Martin Dabek went along for the ride and captured every thrilling moment up in the skies with the bride and her dad on their way to the church!

This gorgeous pair celebrated with a relaxed vineyard wedding reception where guests could relax in an outdoor sitting room – a space filled with comfy sofas, chairs and hay bales. As with every wedding our friends from York Place Studios share with us, this is a day full of character where the atmosphere just zings through my screen and makes me smile, chuckle and grin my head off.

The more I look at this gorgeous couple’s photos, the more I love everything about their day. It’s wonderfully casual, massively fun and full of the best homemade touches by talented friends and family. Tess and Ben got married near Bath and well and truly demonstrate what can be done for a wedding on a high street budget. Tess looks stunning in a bridal jumpsuit from Anthropologie and goes barefoot with anklets from India for the ceremony until putting on her white Nike Air Max 90s later in the day. Her hair and makeup was provided by Faye O’Connell.

Today’s beautiful celebrations are properly at home on gorgeous bride Jodie and Ed’s family farm. Huge thanks to English Wedding Directory member Jess Yarwood Photography for her wonderful images – Jodie describes their wedding as “the most precious love-filled day of our lives” and I think her description fits it perfectly!

Our wedding followed a rustic traditional theme styled around our farming lives. From the tractor which Ed drove us home from church on to horseshoes and little sheep on every table and straw bales scattered everywhere we made the theme about us and our lives. There were abundance of pink and white flowers, greenery, and cut logs inside and outside the marquee.

Today’s gorgeous and relaxed family wedding took place at the end of August in the countryside of Canterbury. The church was a 5 minute walk from Rosie’s family home where she held the reception. I love how they’ve incorporated Game of Thrones into their day with subtle little details – and it all looks fabulous!

My Dad made the table plan, order of the day and chopped all the wood from a tree in the garden for the centre pieces. My Mum and brother made all the origami name places. We had a naked cake as this worked well with the theme of the day. My very talented Mum made it and it was amazing! Allan and I made all the signage.
