1. Wear Your Everyday Gold Jewellery

Instead of statement sparkly jewels, we’re seeing brides choosing pretty layering pieces to style their big day outfit. The general trend is that brides are wanting to be comfortable and more relaxed on their wedding day and this is a great way to choose jewellery that you can actually wear again long after the day itself. The style is more modern and minimal with just a hint of embellishment such as a decorative pendant. Opt for gold, it’s more luxe and looks great with ivory.

Did you catch yesterday’s feature full of advice for kids at weddings? We covered catering, crèches and superhero costumes… but one thing I’d like to talk about more is entertainment for children at weddings. And getting it right is essential if you want those adorable little faces to be smiling on your big day! So our lovely friends at Warble Entertainment have come up with some great pointers to help you out. And whatever entertainment you choose, the benefits are huge and might be a bit of a surprise!

There’s a photo somewhere of a four-year-old me, hiding behind my mum’s leg (and clinging on for dear life while peeking around the side) at a wedding. It’s one of my favourites – who’d have such a cute (but terrified) little monkey would be a wedding blogger in later life? If you’d asked me way back then, I’d have said kids don’t want to go to your wedding. But that makes light of what’s actually a huge talking point all over the interweb: should you invite kids to weddings?

So you’ve made the decision to have a photo booth at your wedding reception – great shout! I guess you want to make it amazing? We’ve all been in a photo booth – they’re at so many weddings these days. So how, exactly, can you make YOUR wedding photo booth the absolute best one folks will be talking about for years to come? Here’s how – you’re welcome!

I’m half hoping you’re reading this blog post because you think I’m a little insane… who on earth is actually out there looking for wedding photos that aren’t perfect?! Surely we should all be carrying out a careful search for the very best wedding photographer our budgets will allow? And with all the time and effort we’re putting into planning our weddings, we want the day not only to be perfect, but to look perfect in our pictures?

What even is perfect, though?
