What could be a more romantic setting than the Italian countryside, a monastery no less, set amongst rolling hillsides and with its very own vineyard? The Favari Monastery dates from the 17th century and has been beautifully renovated as a destination wedding venue. For today’s English Wedding feature, the monastery serves as a beautiful backdrop for a group of local wedding suppliers who came together to create a lush, modern wedding style complete with al fresco table settings and a bride and groom just radiant with Italian style!
This gorgeous pair celebrated with a relaxed vineyard wedding reception where guests could relax in an outdoor sitting room – a space filled with comfy sofas, chairs and hay bales. As with every wedding our friends from York Place Studios share with us, this is a day full of character where the atmosphere just zings through my screen and makes me smile, chuckle and grin my head off.
My top tip for your wedding is to let your daughter wear her rainbow roller-skates, and skate down the aisle!! Lovelies, this is one of my favourite weddings of the year – gorgeous Katherine and Nick made pretty much everything themselves, and planned a relaxed, informal celebration at Whitemoor Farm with a really individual and unique style. It’s just FABULOUS – you’re going to love all of this! Images are by lovely Devon wedding photographer and English Wedding team member Anthony from Special Day Wedding Photos.
Happy weekend, lovelies! There’s a definite chill in the air this morning, so I’m feeling the need to snuggle up with my guy, in all our cosiest blankets and throws, supping hot chocolate and – is it too early?! – in front of our new fireplace. The plan for the day is most definitely comfort food and staying toasty!
It feels like the perfect opportunity to share some winter wedding ideas with you. Lovely Katie Rogers Photography sent me this shoot full of luscious velvets and Wild Rubus‘s deliciously textured winter florals. The theme for the day was a rich, velvet palette with a hint of metallic, which works beautifully. The dresses by Wendy Makin and Cymbeline are just divine; and I especially adore the velvety vows books by Elmo Paper Stories.
Lizzie and Dan’s wedding is a classic – timeless styling, an elegant colour palette and beautiful sunshine… the flowers are lush, in a soft palette of dusky pinks, and the beautiful atmosphere they created is one of tranquility and romance. Lizzie is stunning in her Cizzy Bridal dress, and Dan is every bit the classic English groom in a smart navy suit with Ted Baker waistcoat. The venue is Wadhurst Castle, and all of their lovely photographs are by Nick Davies Photography.
