Warm Moroccan vibes for a relaxed luxe marquee wedding style, from Wonderful Events
The colour palette in this editorial is everything. The warm apricot and ochre tones, gold accents and soft whites are teamed beautifully with lush foliage in the floral arrangements and bouquets. The cake is breathtaking; the tablescapes perfectly on trend and beautifully styled with texture in keeping with a chic boho wedding look. Watch out for lovely English Wedding member Martina from Wonderful Events as celebrant for our two beautiful brides – one of my favourite photos from the collection! And the bridal looks are chic, luxe and oh so perfectly boho. This is all the inspiration you’ll need for a late summer wedding, all created by some of our fave Cotswolds wedding suppliers!

With visions of a Moroccan dreamscape and a bohemian flower-filled marquee, a unique team of fantastically creative suppliers brought to life the outdoor wedding shoot of dreams. Given free reign of the expansive grounds at Umberslade Farm in Tanworth-in-Arden, they filled a luxurious Sail tent with an abundance of seasonal flowers, courtesy of ever-talented West Midlands-based florist Bride and Bloom, and stylist Katie of The Vintage House That Could set out creating the perfect backdrop for two beautiful boho brides. Envisaging earthy ochres, glorious golds, golden mustards, deep reds, and splashes of vivid orange and green, the team set about filling their blank canvas. Shot by sought-after West Midlands wedding photographer Rosie Kelly, their mission to bring you some rustic, bohemian, opulent outdoor wedding inspiration sprang to life.
Clair & Carly wore dresses from Ava May Bridal, who handpick designer dresses from across the globe. Choosing dresses in different styles complemented the eclectic, worldly feeling of the shoot, and the relaxed-but-chic feel of the bohemian backdrop was set off by the stunning details in both dresses. With hair styled by Sarah Russell and cocktails in hand, the looked perfectly at home in their exotic surroundings.
Cocktails were flowing courtesy of master mixologists Mix and Twist, while the stunning work of Pia from Vanilla Pod Bakery sat in all its glory atop the impressive oak circular bar. Her show-stopping cake was so well-suited to the theme of the day, due to her meticulous planning and creative process: “When I received the brief for the Modern Moroccan Boho shoot I was super excited… I loved that I would be able to use texture and warm colours and gold (I love gold!) Photo shoots are always great to try our new techniques and I decided to go with for a classic white fondant cake but bring it up to date with modern wavy natural edges on each tier. I didn’t want to create ‘just’ a white cake, so I hand painted the wavy edges of the cake with gold details. Then roughly painting the gold food colour around the base of each tier, which gave the cake a more natural boho look. I wanted to add a little more texture to the cake, so stenciled royal icing leaf motifs onto parts of each tier which added interest when looking at the cake up-close. I finished by adding an abundance of gorgeous romantic blooms from Hannah at Bride and Bloom, which made the cake really pop and look spectacular”.
A gloriously oversized rustic head table, round guest tables, oak cross-back chairs, hand-carved pallet bench sets and overhanging floral rings filled the spacious Sailcloth marquee, all courtesy of marquee hire specialists Boutique Marquees, who offer luxurious white cotton canvas Sailcloth and Petal Pole marquees for stunning events nationwide. Handcrafted in the U.K., the majestic Sailcloth was the backdrop of choice for this sumptuous setting. With its high peaks, swooping ridgeline, panoramic window walls and light-flooded interior, the result was other-worldly and alluring, providing the perfect canvas for a seriously talented collective of creative minds, and two gorgeous brides.
