A beautiful English Summer Garden wedding for Swan & Peter, with Martin Dabek Photography

A stunning fusion wedding with beautiful meadow flower styling and really personal touches celebrating Chinese and English cultures. Sent in by English Wedding member and North Cadbury Court Wedding Photographer Martin Dabek, who gets a fantastic review from lovely Swan & Peter.
The gorgeous pair organised their entire wedding weekend online, thousands of miles away from the UK. “We feel so blessed that everything went so smoothly on the day, and of course, that we were gifted with beautiful UK summer weather.”

Our wedding photography
Bristol Wedding Photographer Martin Dabek was brilliant!
He was extremely attentive to detail, communicative, and thoughtful throughout the entire process.
We truly enjoyed the final photos — they’re a wonderful keepsake of our wedding days.

Our wedding venue
Exclusive Somerset wedding venue North Cadbury Court — From our very first visit, we knew this was the place! With guests coming from all over the world, we wanted them to experience something truly British with us. The events team made everything feel effortless, and on the wedding day, every moment unfolded perfectly. We still can’t get over how beautiful the Yacht Club was for our Friday meet-and-greet, how special the gazebo felt for our ceremony, how much we enjoyed the canapés and music on the lawn, the elegant dinner in the ballroom, and the lively, joyful atmosphere in the North Hall for the band and dancing.
Our wedding outfits

After trying on countless dresses in both the UK and China — and even disliking my custom-made one — I ended up abandoning the very first dress I tried in the UK! My friend kindly brought it all the way from the brand’s headquarters in Australia so it could make it to my wedding in time. I didn’t actually get to hold it until the night before the big day, but this Grace Loves Lace dress turned out to be absolutely perfect for me. I didn’t want to take it off!
Peter’s suit was crafted by a special tailor in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We had such a fun time picking out the fabric, color, and lining. The green tie and lining were chosen to match the color of his eyes. It’s an exceptional suit—and it suited Peter perfectly.
Our amazing suppliers

I was absolutely in love with the floral decorations by Snowdrops Studio. My theme was English Summer Garden, and Louisa couldn’t have done a better job bringing it to life. The colors and the wild, natural styling were exactly what I had envisioned. It’s hard to express how much joy those flowers brought — they truly filled our day with life and love.
As a former singer, I had high standards for our wedding music, and I can proudly say choosing Bristol Wedding Band The Style was one of the best decisions I made. Adam helped me arrange three musical sections: a duet, a jazz trio, and a full band for our wedding weekend. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed the music!

Our wedding theme was East Meets West, as I’m from China and Peter is from the UK. I was so grateful to have my beloved Chinese friends and family travel all the way to join us. We arranged two surprises for our guests — a traditional lion dance from the East and an owl experience from the West.

Our wedding favors were elegant chopsticks from China, a small touch to celebrate my roots. We’re so proud to have brought all of these elements together to create a truly special day.
