Good morning beautiful! I hope you’re having the loveliest day – and enjoying a little sunshine still! Aren’t we lucky… it’s already been such an amazing summer and we’re still in the first week of July! And of course, this means we’re blogging beautiful weddings full of sunshine for you. Beautiful bride Sarah and her gorgeous groom Iain were married at Mitton Hall in the Ribble Valley. Their day is elegant and contemporary, with stunning blooms and delicious details. What do you think of the sweet pink chair sashes instead of covers? The chairs themselves are refreshingly pretty, I think 🙂 Images are by our lovely friend and English Wedding Directory member Rachel Joyce Photography.

So how was your weekend? We survived a brilliant sten do at a mini festival close to home – it was absolutely fantastic, but oops… I’m a little more ‘bronzed’ than I’d like to be right now!! I’m currently enjoying a lovely breeze in my little studio office as I bring you today’s beautiful inspo feature. This is the work of a fabulously creative bunch of Essex wedding suppliers, and promises to bring a touch of cool to your screens, wherever you may be on this super hot day! I just love the ultra modern wedding cake and eye-catching stationery pieces – it’s all just gorgeous. Lovely Jenna from Wonderland Invites, who styled the shoot, is here to tell you more.

Kathie and Mike’s wedding is one of those glorious days which reminds me just what it’s all about. It’s not the colour palette or how many bridesmaids there are; it’s not the dress or the flowers in your hair – it’s the love, the laughter and the once-in-a-lifetime memories you’re making together. This is exceptionally beautiful, and grabbed my heart as soon as I saw the pics by our lovely friend Sheryl at Oobaloos Photography.

Want to recreate those sultry nights listening to stripped-back acoustic songs in the flickering glow of a crackling campfire? Or perhaps capture the infectious energy of festival favourites Mumford and Sons? When you hire a festival wedding band, you can relive those heady days and endless summer nights on your big day.

Festival-themed weddings are a huge trend that shows no sign of slowing, and why would they? The carefree vibe, gorgeous rustic style and feel-good folk-style music all make for the perfect outdoor wedding. Thanks to the popularity of music festivals large and small, there’s been an explosion in festival wedding bands. Inspired by the likes of Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers and (of course) Ed Sheeran, the best young musicians are choosing to pick up the acoustic guitar instead of the electric and going back to traditional musical roots for inspiration.

If you love where you live, why not incorporate the essence of the place into your wedding day? You really can get married wherever you’d like nowadays – with the help of a celebrant you can say your vows on the beach, on a mountain top, on a boat, a lake… pretty much anywhere. I’m one of those lucky creatives who live close to the Lake District – and today’s blog post is all about bringing the spirit of a place into your wedding styling.
