Happy Friday, beautiful! While I’m off teaching another modern calligraphy class down in Manchester today, I have this beauty of a feature to share with you on the blog. It comes from enchanting Gloucestershire wedding venue Pauntley Court, which is a family home now being offered to couples as an exclusive use wedding venue. Pauntley Court is reputedly the birthplace of Dick Whittington and is set in glorious countryside with its own stunning formal gardens. As you’ll see from the photos, this is a quintessentially English venue, perfect for weekend weddings. Owner Melissa tells us a little more about the suppliers and ideas who brought this beautiful feature to life!

Welcome to the new week everyone! How is this glorious sunshine making you feel? On such a beautiful day I simply had to share this stunning shoot found in my inbox – it’s by a super talented bunch of Cirencester wedding suppliers, whose artisan, sustainable approach has my heart. The stunning images are everything – every shot is just perfect. They’re by  Rachel Jane Photography, and the words (and dreamy florals) are by lovely Fi from Corky and Prince.

Today’s wedding is blissfully beautiful, classic in style and with a sophisticated wintry look. The styling is elegant and light, using silver and grey – the bridesmaids’ dark dresses are fabulous. And I’ve totally fallen for Izzy and Tom – they look so wonderfully happy together, not to mention absolutely gorgeous! Izzy’s dress is a showstopper: her smile is infectious. You’ll love these two! The stunning venue is De Vere Tortworth Court, which is captured so beautifully in Goucestershire wedding photographer Martin Dabek‘s inimitable signature style.

Winter is coming… and that phrase conjures up two things for me! The first is Game of Thrones – and me and my guy are rewatching every. single. episode. from the 1st season to the last… we started on Friday and I think we’ll be finished just in time for season 8 in May / June 2019! Winter also reminds me of snowy weddings, snuggly wraps and cosily beautiful wedding styling. So today I’m sharing a truly unique wedding from Lansdown Hall and Gallery in Stroud. Beautiful bride Jess and gorgeous groom Damian chose the venue because it’s very dear to their family, and organised everything themselves: decorations, lighting, DJ, the bar, outside catering, staff, setting up and clearing up. Take one look at their photos and you’ll see it was 100% worthwhile – it allowed them to plan and style their day exactly how they wanted. As well as the venue, highlights to watch out for are Jess’s E&W Couture dress, which is just perfect – and the bouquet of eucalyptus, white roses and pussy willow (my favourite!) by the wonderful Sweet Peony in Cardiff. The fabulous photos of Jess and Damian’s wedding are by UK photographer Jon Turtle, who’s based in Penarth, South Wales.

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? I’ve had a 4 day extravaganza of a weekend with a concert on Thursday, shopping day Friday, calligraphy class on Saturday and 2 mountains climbed on Sunday! I barely know what day it is with all that going on, so it’s nice to be sat at my desk now with Bertie cat, where we have a fabulous wedding up our sleeves to share with you lovely folks out there in internet land.
