As every newlywed couple will concur, your wedding day passes by in the blink of an eye. One minute you’re waking up at the crack of dawn waiting for the arrival of your hairdresser and before you know it, it’s midnight, your feet hurt from dancing, your guests are leaving and your day is over. One of the things I love about the wedding industry is how quickly things change. Fashions come and go SO fast. As a wedding blogger I love how our industry thrives; how we import new ideas and how new faces appear so often on social media. Every new wedding business is an inspiration to me. And it makes staying in the game hard. It makes winning, and staying at the top of the wedding industry, the most exciting challenge you can imagine.
My little blogging desk, as you may know, is on the edge of the Lake District. We do get sunshine, but more often we have a variety we call ‘liquid sunshine‘, and we’ve kind of learned to love a misty, drippy or downright sodden day’s adventure in the fells. Turns out, for what sounds like a relatively tropical place to me, these Cornish wedding pros have some pretty amazing ideas for rainy wedding days! I asked if we could share their advice, and they very kindly said yes. So here are our top tips, just in case it rains on your wedding day!

1. Create a day to suit you both, and make it personal
Forget anything you’ve read or heard about the ‘ideal’ wedding, and start from scratch with your own ideas. Ultimately, this is going to be the Best Day Ever for both of you, so having a wedding that reflects your style and tastes is the most important thing.
