Hello! I’m Grace Elizabeth, a five foot tall twenty-something year old girl… come hopeless romantic. On the one hand, I am inspired by the beauty in the little things, and on the other, I am inspired and energised by the excitement that comes with big adventures. I am inspired by grand oak trees, vast oceans and foggy mornings, but I am equally inspired by silence, sad playlists and reflection. I am also a believer that we all have the ability to leave the world in a better place than it began.
Natural and informal is my kind of thing, not awkward, staged and stuffy. I live for documenting real, authentic moments; the kind you will look back on for years to come. I hope that each frame can be viewed as if a tiny patchwork piece, ultimately helping you to build a bigger picture of how your wedding or session unfolded. I aspire for images to have the nostalgic effect of taking you back to certain conversations, smells or feelings. I endeavour for the photographs I take to age beautifully, and purposefully.
One thing I will say about the way I work too, is that I never pose: instead, I direct. This means that although I’ll get you to interact a certain way initially, you’re not stuck there. You’re free to move, dance, laugh, and just be yourselves; so much so that the fun you’re having will overtake your awareness of being photographed. Photography isn’t about fixed moments, it’s about documenting the real.
I am also super relaxed, and, more often than not, I get asked if I am actually a friend of my couples! Usually, I am not, although by the time your wedding or session comes around, it often feels that way, and I am regularly introduced by my clients as if I am an old friend!
Finally, I really do love to get involved with weddings, and I promise to throw myself fully into your wedding. I don’t mind helping to carry things, I can help you tie a tie, or button up a wedding dress, and I’ve even climbed narrow spider-infested staircases to reach venue roofs, and been on people’s shoulders just to get a good group shot – it’s all part of being a part of the day!
I’m the kind of wedding photographer you can text if you’re struggling with decor ideas, or need a plus one for your outfit fitting, and I even make a great dance partner when your afterparty is in full swing… although I can’t comment on quite how good my ‘dancing’ will be!
In terms of wedding photography, I offer totally tailored wedding packages, elopement and destination wedding coverage, as no two weddings are the same! I also offer plenty of set lifestyle packages, and I even offer business and branding photography for small businesses!
