It’s invitation time, everyone! Every January I get so many enquiries about envelope and invitation calligraphy: I know you’re all hunting for those perfect invites to set the scene for your day, so here’s a little help in your search!
Hello there lovely blog readers! I have a special, exclusive offer especially for you this morning as I launch a new range of handwritten calligraphy invites. They’re designed for intimate celebrations, written in my very own lettering, and I am about to give you – and only you, my loveliest of wedding blog friends – a secret introductory price…

When you order these invitations in my Etsy shop, you can save £25 on the total price of your order. There’s a minimum order quantity of 20 invitations, and the offer will run until the end of this month. Your invitations will be sent within 14 days of placing your order.

Hey lovely! It’s day 2 of my wedding stationery review features, and I wanted to show you what came in the post a couple of weeks ago. We were ridiculously busy prepping for The Handmade Fair, so it’s only now I can reveal – and review – this little sneak peek at some gorgeous new wedding invitations by Knots & Kisses.
Opening Nikki’s package was such a treat – and it’s this attention to detail which makes Knots & Kisses one of the best wedding stationery brands in the UK right now. Instagrammers should take a look at Nikki’s pics, and join me in being insanely jealous of her beautiful workspace!
Being an eco-friendly girl with a mild fetish for kraft stationery and a passion for nature and the outdoors, I immediately fell for the natural, woodland-inspired and elegant invitation from Knots & Kisses’ 2016 collections. Stags and antlers are going to be huge again in 2016, and this range is perfectly on trend with its quirky font, lace trim and memorable motif. LOVE!
I always smile when a message from Nathan lands in my inbox… he’s a super talented graphic designer, and a wedding industry friend whose advice I really value. He also makes wonderfully chic, stylish bespoke wedding stationery which I’m thrilled to be showing you today.
Nathan’s unique wedding invitation designs are printed to a fine art reproduction standard and handcrafted to ensure stunning results.
I love the way every single one of Nathan’s wedding stationery collections is designed with meticulous attention to detail and eye-catching style. You’re guaranteed to turn heads with any one of the collections from Artemis Stationery – so if you’re looking for sophisticated stationery which is a little different, you’ve found your dream designer for the job!
Supplying brides and grooms all over the UK, Artemis Stationery makes artistic bespoke and art deco wedding invitations that will make an inspired impact, while imparting your message and the look of your wedding in head-turning style.
Join me this lovely morning to discover the fabulous Dearly Beloved – wedding invitations by a creative designer team with a fresh and modern approach to wedding stationery. Gorgeous Abi and Ben create “painterly” [oh and that’s my new favourite word!] designs, retro floral illustration and eclectic, whimsical wedding stationery. I think you’ll love them…
I’ve fallen head over heels for Abi and Ben’s fresh and exciting take on wedding stationery. Their simple but oh-so-creative illustrations are just wonderful. I adore their use of strong ink lines with the most delicate watercolours… and I have a feeling you’ll be charmed by them too!
Discover Dearly Beloved on the English Wedding Blog!
Dearly Beloved are a South West based design company with a fresh approach to wedding stationery.
Creative couple Abigail McKenzie and Ben Aslett met at university whilst studying to become illustrators. Fast forward 7 years and they have just launched as Dearly Beloved, a design team who create bespoke wedding invitations for the modern couple.
There’s nothing lovelier than running your hands over soft, warm and luscious letterpress invitations. I adore letterpress print – as a calligrapher I get stupidly excited when brides send me gorgeous invites! – and I’ve just discovered the fabulous Wolf & Ink letterpress studio. Their designs are stunning; they’re eco-friendly and the way they work is wonderfully enticing. Founder Julia Wolfe has very generously shared her designs with us today and I’d love to show you my favourites.
Designs created on antique letterpress over 100 years old
Luxury letterpress studio Wolf & Ink launches its first ‘Ready To Go’ collection of wedding invitations, just in time for the 2015 wedding season. Wolf & Ink’s signature design style blends heritage-inspired imagery with contemporary prints, creating timeless, hand-crafted invitations.
As a design and print studio Wolf & Ink have used their knowledge of the intricacies of letterpress printing on an antique press to create six unique designs for the new collection. Each item is designed in-house and then lovingly hand-printed by letterpress onto thick, quality paper stock.
Do join me for a peek into my little design studio this morning as I show you sketches and the final design for my new watercolour flowers wedding invitation collection. I’m absolutely delighted with the finished suite – it’s vibrant and fun, and the clematis flower has totally stolen my heart! Instagram friends will have seen this already, and as I write I’ve yet to pop it onto shelves in my Etsy shop – but it will be there very soon! Prices from £4 per invitation…
I’ll begin with the finished collection, then show you every step of the way as I made the designs. From sketching to painting to printing, the design process was a little over a full day’s work, and one where I finished happily covered in purple ink (and went for a walk on the beach wearing it!) Enjoy!
Hey everyone! Happy Monday! I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. It’s inspiration time on the blog this morning and I’m excited to tell you all about these gorgeous wedding invitations by Norma & Dorothy.
Norma & Dorothy is a UK based independent wedding invitation shop. Created by designer Grace, it’s a place of pretty prints and playful lettering, a little world where you’ll find some of the loveliest wedding invitations you’re likely to see. Norma & Dorothy is an online shop only, run from a busy little craft studio in central Manchester.
I discovered Norma & Dorothy on Etsy.com, and I’m delighted to see they’ve just launched on Not On The High Street as well – so I predict an incredibly busy year ahead for this charming little wedding craft business.
I’ve only shown a handful of Norma & Dorothy’s beautiful invitations here, and that’s because I’d love for you to go to NormaDorothy.com and discover your own favourites.
Hello! Are you having a lovely day? I hope you have wonderful things planned for the weekend… I know I do, as I get to see my favourite sister, her lovely hubby and my gorgeous little nephew too! But first, a little wedding loveliness for you courtesy of wedding stationery designer Heather Marten. Heather’s lifelong love of “arty stuff and stationery” led to her launching her own wedding stationery business in 2001 – and she’s never looked back!
I’ve said it many times before, but it’s really important to me: your wedding is the perfect opportunity to support small, independent businesses and Heather Marten is one of those which comes very highly recommended. Heather has 25 stockists and even sells her fabulous stationery in Paris… which is pretty awesome, is it not?!
Morning lovely! How was your weekend? I hope you’re feeling fresh as a daisy and full of enthusiasm for the week ahead! I’ve been exploring the Eskdale valley with its beautiful rivers and idyllic scenery… oh and its charming little country pubs! I’ve also been to an eighth birthday party – that was so much fun! However you spent your weekend I hope it was as lovely as mine 🙂 … and now it’s time for a little wedding inspiration. I recently discovered the lovely Dragonfly and Blossom and wanted to show you Sarah’s exquisite flower wedding invitation collections.
The collections at Dragonfly and Blossom are all flower themed, and my favourites are the sweet peas, hydrangeas and lavender wedding invitations. Sarah has a real passion for wedding invitation design and I asked her to tell us a little more about the design process. I really love the way her flower designs can inspire a whole wedding theme… from the invitations to the bouquet and table decorations.
I can’t help but chuckle every time I visit the Elsie May Designs website. When you’ve checked out all the gorgeous wedding stationery, take a look at the contact page – it’s awesome! I discovered the world of Elsie May when designer Jo commented on one of my blog features, and asked if I could share some of her lovely wedding invitations with all of you. I was so pleased when she said yes!
Elsie May is a new wedding stationery designer from London whose wedding invitations and stationery suites are cool and quirky with a distinctly modern style. The colours pop and will create a fantastic impression on your wedding guests: they’re different and exciting and I love them! www.ElsieMayDesigns.com
Hello there everyone! Oh my, I can’t believe how quickly this week is flying by! I’m trying so hard not to count the days until Christmas… yikes!! I’m looking for lots of real weddings and ideas to feature over the festive period so please do get in touch if you have anything you’d like me to share on the English Wedding Blog. For today though, I have some gorgeous wedding invitations to show you.
I was so pleased when lovely Joanne from Vintage Twee got in touch with me to ask for a little calligraphy on her wedding invitations for Lance and Lisa. I’ve always loved Jo’s work – she sells on Etsy and from her online boutique at VintageTwee.com. I’m the proud owner of a few of her wonderful creations myself! I keep my calligraphy nibs in Jo’s exquisitely crafted wedding favour boxes – they’re adorable!
