Over the last couple of months I’ve fallen in love with kraft paper and manilla stationery – big time! I blame Pinterest and all the US wedding blogs I subscribe to… where wedding invitations, reception stationery and DIY tutorials are what it’s all about.

So today my lovelies I’m sharing my kraft crush (oh dear – I typed that with a k and had to go back and correct it!) with you all. I’ve made a Pinterest board with some favourite ideas and included some of my new calligraphy ideas for you below as well.

Have you used Pinterest for your wedding planning? I’m wondering whether I should include some of my favourite boards on this weekly* best wedding blogs feature. I’ve been pinning a lot this week and added a lovely new Pinterest button to the blog too! The old one was a piddly little thing which sat in the corner doing nothing, hehe. Anyway – let me know if you’d like more Pinterest boards in here!

Hello lovely you! It’s time to set feet firmly on the ground once again with our ‘Focus On’ series about the moments that make a wedding. This time we’re looking at wedding venues… and odd choice perhaps, but venues play a huge part in creating the atmosphere of your wedding day. From rustic and cosy to chic city locations, English wedding venues come in all shapes and sizes. These are some favourites!

I asked for photographers to share their best images of English wedding venues for this feature and they certainly didn’t disappoint! The images on this blog post are my picks from all of those submitted, and I’m only sorry I couldn’t share them all. So – is your venue on the list? Which is your favourite photograph? Thank you to all the photographers who shared images for this feature – and enjoy. Claire xxx

Hello again! Regular readers: an apology. I’m not good with time. I’ve realised that I always introduce these “best wedding blogs” features with a little disclaimer that I’ve no idea how long it’s been since the last one. Scheduling some of my blog posts a week or more in advance leaves me a little fluffed-up in the brain department, you see.

I do see a lot of lovely fluff in my line of work… perhaps it’s the tulle and paper poms which have sent my brain all wonky. Anyways – this is the last time I’ll apologise. Once again though, I’ll redeem myself by sharing the very best of wedding blogs from the last week-ish. Enjoy!

Hello there! A short, sweet and friendly blog post to kick off the New Year in style, I think! I hope you all had a wonderful evening… and to those of you who haven’t slept and are therefore still enjoying your wonderful evening now – a salute! There might be a very select few of you out there who have said “yes” to a proposal of marriage in the last few hours. I hope so – and I’d love to hear all about it if you have! Congratulations to anyone who is newly engaged!!! (And it’s no wonder if you haven’t slept!)

Weddings are all about love and marriage, and while we love stationery and accessories and details – we love gorgeous memories in words and pictures even more.

What are wedding blogs? An introduction

Wedding blogs are simply the equivalent of wedding magazines, on the internet. They’re constantly updated with real weddings, ideas and inspiration, advice and expert help with wedding planning.

Hello. Welcome! Let’s talk about wedding blogs and reality today shall we?! …I thought that might pique your interest. Behind the scenes here at English Wedding Blog I’ve been secretly tormented for months by the way the wedding media focuses on details, losing sight of the fact that weddings are all about the moment you say “I do”. Time to bridge the gap…

The best memories. The best images. What weddings are really all about…

Oops… while I was planning for my wedding fair last week I didn’t have time to write up my ‘best wedding blogs’ post for the week. And my bookmarks folder is ready to pop!
