Time for a lovely wedding this morning, don’t you think? I’m so delighted to be able to share Rebecca and Andy’s Cambridge wedding on the blog with you this morning – they styled their day with a personal twist on traditions and the result is timeless and beautiful. Stunning bride Rebecca really rocks her Candy Anthony wedding dress, Andy looks fab in his slim fit suit from Jack Bunneys, and the bridesmaids look fantastic in dresses by Vivien of Holloway!

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer?

From the moment we met with Sam and Louise we knew they would be our wedding photographers. They were such a lovely couple and their style was exactly what we were looking for. They were the first photographers we met and decided we didn’t need to see any others.

Days Married: 74

Good news readers! I now have the disc of hi-res images from Phil Barber so I can bombard you with photos and wedding reports! Hurrah!

You may remember in a past post that I was keeping secrets about my dress. No more secrets from me – I wore Cabaret by Ian Stuart. To be honest I don’t think the model on the website does the dress justice – as I really don’t like it in that photo. However, trying the dress on was a completely different story – this dress needs curves!

Also you may remember I mentioned that I didn’t like something about my dress initially – the flowers! I thought there were far too many flowers and they looked too busy. Little did I realise that of course these roses fitted in perfectly with my wedding theme, and actually, when the dress is on, they look amazing. I did change something about the original dress though – I had a back panel put in rather than showing my bare back through the corset lacing.

Days to go: 78

I chose and purchased my shoes for the wedding in April 2010 – 19 months before the big day! Now these aren’t a problem because I knew these were the shoes for me (even though one of the bridesmaids wanted to bet me £10 that I’d change my mind) – and I knew the dress I was going to choose would match perfectly (even if it would be in a non-matching but matching anyway sense!).

Here are the beauties – Irregular Choice Cortesan:

My Wedding ShoesSo in May 2010 I purchased the bridesmaid dresses. (The mention of the shoes will make sense in a few moments.) I’d decided a while back on a black and ivory theme (despite growing up always imagining having red bridesmaid dresses) and whilst in town with my Maid of Honour, Katherine, we walked casually into Coast and our eyes immediately were drawn to this – the Harmony Maxi Dress in monochrome:
