A little while ago I asked for any suggestions of wedding loveliness I might feature on the blog, and some of the replies I had – from couples, designers and wedding suppliers – were amazing! One who really stood out from the crowd was lovely Alice Palace, whose wedding invitations are so original and charming I don’t think they will ever date!

When you think about your wedding stationery, think about who you are as a couple and what you represent, your history together and then bring your story to Alice Palace and we can create your ideas into designs which will become a memory of the story of your wedding day.”

If you’re looking for unique wedding invitations, something a little special and which will make a lovely keepsake for your guests, these are perfect! The overriding trend with wedding invitations over recent years has been for DIY and handmade, and many stationers have developed affordable invite collections for brides and grooms who choose to get a little hands-on with stationery and save money at the same time.

Nathan and I share a story too… one of my earliest calligraphy-related memories is of writing my homework in my best friend Sarah’s handwriting at school. I got in trouble. On the Artemis Stationery website Nathan mentions getting in trouble “for drawing everyone else’s rabbits after we had to write a short story about rabbits” at school. A man after my own heart! This is how all the best wedding suppliers start out, don’t you know!

So I’ve chosen a few of my favourite designs from Artemis Stationery to show you today. Do click through to the official website where there are many more, as well as insights into the design process and how to order.

It’s also a hell of a lot of fun.

I watched, intrigued, as my two friends, together with the fabulous Chris Hanley Photography, devised a shoot which would explore the very core of their two brands.

Joanne and Nia’s willingness to let their hair down and play was just brilliant. The shoot they dreamed up looks right into the heart of their businesses, painting Vintage Twee in eccentric perfectionism and playing with Nia Fiori’s love of burlesque and fine art.

I love their promo shoot, which for me puts a whole new light on promoting a brand image.
