Let’s begin the new week with something spectacularly gorgeous, shall we? This stunning shoot from Sarah Maria Photography is full of colour, laughter and styling ideas for you to take away and recreate at your own wedding. There are vibrant florals, gorgeous backdrops with pretty lettering, divine dresses and fun and funky styling touches. The venue is The Faversham, an award winning Leeds wedding venue with three very different spaces for weddings.

Images are by lovely Sarah Maria Photography, who is based in Lancashire. Do go visit Sarah’s website, read her blog and her brilliant and heartfelt advice about hiring a wedding photographer (based on personal experience and absolutely spot on!) – and get in touch to see if she’s free on your wedding day!

The Faversham offers so much more than your usual city centre location. Theres a large lawn area for giant games and post-ceremony drinks, a conservatory where you can say your vows before heading to the Victorian room to chill and catch up with friends and family. The whole place is just perfect for a laid back, non-traditional, relaxed wedding day – and today’s shoot shows some genius ways for styling your day to suit!

Today’s editorial feature is simply divine. I adore the natural colour palette, the earthy styling and dramatic florals – this is the perfect combination of grace and organics, and I hope you will love it as much as I do! I’ve heard some criticism of styled shoots recently (did you catch me on The Icing On The Cake podcast this week and last? Zoe did a brilliant job putting together interviews with me and Kat from Rock n Roll Bride where we shared our thoughts on wedding planning, trends and styled shoots! It’s worth a listen!) – namely that they can be too aspirational and expensive to recreate for a full scale wedding.  Today’s shoot on the English Wedding Blog is perfect to me because the look is achievable: it’s beautiful in simplicity, the table arrangements are perfect for a display area being wild and natural, and the look created is laid back, uncomplicated and frankly a beautiful breath of fresh air.
