Happy Thursday everyone! Lots to share today – I stumbled across a lovely article from It’s Your Wedding Dance in response to my Glastonbury blog, which has made me smile today. But the main event is a behind the scenes look at Victorian wedding style inspiration, with Petra Opperman and Storybook Films. The film brings yesterday’s shoot to life, as tables are set and flowers arranged, make up done and food served… here you’ll see every tiny detail of the wedding dress and oh! the wedding cake – a real show stopper.

Petra Opperman has written the loveliest of introductions to accompany the wedding style film, and I’ve included some new images from Matthew Bishop Photography for you as well – I have more up my sleeve… and they’re hard to resist!

In the tranquillity of the countryside, the magnificent dining room in the stately home, Ardington house, sets the scene for a Victorian love wedding theme.

Have you heard of floriography? No? Along with tablescapes and ombre you’d be forgiven for thinking it was a new wedding buzz word, but it comes from the Victorians – whose style we’re fast falling in love with for 2014 and 2015 weddings. Today I have the most amazing shoot to share with you – full of luxurious style ideas you can use to create your own elegant Victorian wedding style.
