Morning! Have we all had enough of sunshine yet? Oh, you’d like some more? Me too 🙂 What a lovely week it’s been. And I’m feeling sunny inside because I get to share Sarah and Mickey’s Henley wedding with you today – it’s pretty much my idea of perfect.

Sarah’s advice for other couples rings very true with me:

Enjoy it. Today is the day you get to promise to spend the rest of your life with the person you want to spend your life with. It’s going to be a good day and literally no one is going to care if there’s a typo in the order of service or the ushers don’t have matching socks!

How true!

Other highlights of today’s wedding blog include Sarah’s gorgeous Justin Alexander dress, the beautiful images from the country fields, all of the lovely details – watch out for the impressive cake! Oh, and all the personal touches from the handmade wedding sign to fairy cakes and bunting. I especially love Sarah’s recommendation for ceilidh bands… the ideal solution for shufflers and lurkers – and tons of fun too!

I think Naomi and Elric are a wonderful couple – individual, glamorous, quirky, creative and exciting. Their wedding is fabulous: from Naomi’s stunning outfit and captivating smile to Elric’s inspired choice of wedding reading and their shared wedding report this is a feature I’m proud to have on English Wedding Blog today! I do hope you love it too.

Isn't Naomi gorgeous?!

The wedding venue is Birmingham’s Highbury Hall; the images are all by Midlands-based wedding photographers Rob and Sarah Gillespie. I want to rush right in to Naomi and Elric’s wedding report – it’s one of very few I’ve ever had where the bride and groom have written their wedding story together – and so, it’s very special.

Enjoy!

Wedding blog Mallory Court (39)When she told me about her wedding day Claire mentioned how she’d always looked forward to the tradition of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue – so I chose the title for this wedding blog post too. Claire and Richard were married at Mallory Court in August. There are some really special little touches in Claire’s wedding report: I love how she kept the dress a shared secret with just her mum, for example – and what a gorgeous dress.

Claire is a stunning bride. Richard looks fantastic in his kilt – this is just a fabulous wedding day with real style and a nice traditional touch. The wedding photography is by Rob and Sarah Gillespie; I’ll leave you with their pictures to tell the story of the day alongside Claire’s own wedding story.

Enjoy! x
