It’s gorgeous Jess and Rich’s eclectic style which makes this London wedding so deliciously different and captivating. Their theme emerged as a heady mixture of romantic, prohibition, art deco and industrial… and their wedding is one of my favourite blog posts of the year already! With flowers by Rebel Rebel, a Charlie Brear gown and photos by Paul Rogers, you’ll LOVE Jess and Rich’s wedding style!

As amazing as this wedding looks, it’s inspiring to discover nearly everything was home made. Jess told me the crafting was “a labour of love but totally worth it!” There are some gorgeous home made touches: the wedding cake, table flowers, invitations, programs, table plan, table name cards, menus, cocktail menus, and even bathroom signs! “Trinity Buoy Wharf was a total blank canvas! We spent a full day on Friday the day before decorating it with props, flowers, setting up tables etc.” Jess’s sister made their fabulous naked cake – “it fitted the relaxed style of the wedding and looked fantastic!

I’m always asking why wedding venues can’t afford decent chairs: if every restaurant in the land manages to have chairs which don’t need polyester covers, how come our top venues still have dodgy business chairs we have to pay to hide?! It makes me want to hire a proper restaurant instead; somewhere that just looks awesome. Oh! And here’s one…

It’s available to hire on Saturdays and Sundays, and I featured Rosie and Jon’s gorgeous wedding reception there back in 2015.

Rosie & Jon are amazing. Their relaxed city wedding is gorgeous: full of pretty details contrasting beautifully against the built up backdrop – and their reception venue is perfect.

Rosie’s dress is out of this world: she looks stunning and I was convinced she’d bought from one of our top designers… until she told me her mother made it for her – “My heart swells at the thought of how much love she put into that dress. It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever worn.

Rosie and Jon found most of their suppliers online, using wedding blogs and Pinterest for inspiration. Their photographer – lovely Jonny Donovan Photography – was one of the best online discoveries:

The gorgeous couple told me not only did they love their photographer, all of their guests did as well! And the images speak for themselves… I think they’re fabulous.
