Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had the loveliest weekends… and for anyone who’s not in a work mood right now I have a really charming DIY wedding to share with you. Matt and Steph were married at The Ashes in Staffordshire and poured their hearts into creating a pretty day full of little details and DIY touches.

Steph’s Mum was a star, crafting so many of the tiny details of the day. Steph told me, “We went a little mad on the decor and had loads of flowers, vases, candles and ornaments but it all worked out and looked beautiful!”

I love a wedding with a sense of humour, and Louise and Steve mix giggles (Cagney & Lacey?!) with gorgeousness (Louise & Steve!) beautifully. Their vintage emergency services wedding in Kent has the best transport I’ve seen yet: a 1960s police car and vintage red ambulance – the perfect way for a policeman and his paramedic bride to travel in style to their wedding!

There’s so much from today’s wedding I think is amazing… The handfasting ceremony (and that Louise and Steve kept the besom on display in their home for good luck); the lovely flowers, Louise’s sign for her Dad as they approached the aisle… and everything from the wonderful moments to the tiniest details was captured beautifully by Sarah Wayte Photography.

The moment I saw Hannah and Dean’s wedding photos I fell in love. Such an amazing couple, and such a beautiful day. Their Great Gatsby wedding at Kent’s Chilston Park Hotel is one of the most elegant celebrations I’ve seen, with fabulous styling and glorious details. But it’s the bride and groom – a stunning couple – who bowled me over. Hannah’s bridal look is more than gorgeous: her striking make up, her beautiful gown – she’s incredible. Although one comment on photographer Kerry Ann Duffy‘s facebook page made me chuckle: “Great pic, even better beard“… Dean’s look is fantastic and then some!

There are a few places in this beautiful land of ours which inspire fierce loyalty and pride: Yorkshire is most certainly near the top of that list. The white rose, rolling hillsides and charming towns and people make Yorkshire a perfect place to live, and to love… and today’s bride and groom chose Yorkshire as their wedding theme, location and flavour!

Bren and Nikki married at the fabulous Ox Pasture Hall, and chose lovely Georgina Harrison Photography to capture their day. With bunting, pom poms, a vintage typewriter, jam jars with candles, mini chalk boards with easels for the name cards, a suitcase for collecting cards and their awesome ‘LOVE’ light, this is a wedding full of ideas which I know you’ll love!

Lucy and James’s wedding at the wonderful Woburn Sculpture Gallery is just gorgeous. Every detail is so elegant from Lucy’s lace dress to James’s Jeff Banks suit (yippee no Moss Bros!), and set in such a great art deco wedding venue – I love it!

There are of course some fantastic wedding photos here by the lovely Aaron Collett, but do read Lucy and James’s wedding report at the end of the feature as they share some great wedding day tips for future brides and grooms. With huge thanks to a wonderful couple – I hope you enjoy today’s wedding on the English Wedding Blog!
