Happy Monday lovelies! How was your weekend? We’ve been busy bees gathering up some incredible weddings to share with you over the next few weeks – and I wanted to begin this week with a gorgeous elopement in one of my favourite parts of the country. I adore Cornwall – and elopements have a VERY special place in my heart. Welcome to English Wedding our two stunning brides – Adelaide and Kathryn!

Bryony and Josh are pretty much the sweetest couple ever. Their summer wedding at Brunel Manor is styled with a delicate pastel touch – I adore the table plan and cake decoration, and Oh, those flowers…

The beautiful bride wears a gorgeous dress and veil from The White Boutique. Teamed with a breathtaking bouquet of roses, lavender, freesias, delphiniums and eucalyptus, it looks wonderful.

Tis the season (as they say) for cosy snuggles and warm fires… and for staying indoors on those long evenings in the company of friends and loved ones. And I guess this applies just as much to weddings as it does to winter evenings at home. For Deborah and Mark, their winter wedding meant choosing the right venue was paramount. And boy, did they get it right…

Huntsham Court is a fabulous wedding venue - real wedding Jennifer Jane Photography (7)

Huntsham Court is wonderful. It’s an exclusive use, country house venue with 34 bedrooms and a super flexible approach to weddings. For today’s bride and groom it meant they could spend the whole weekend there along with friends and family – Huntsham is the loveliest home from home you could ever imagine.

I was reading today – I can’t remember where – a piece of advice about styling your wedding, and not rushing into anything. The article recommended choosing your venue first and using its decor to inspire your day (something we’ve suggested before on the English Wedding Blog). As soon as I saw Kim and Kevin’s stunning wedding it brought all that advice back: and oh my, did they choose a venue to be inspired by!

A sublimely pretty English wedding at Clifton College in Bristol, with Jennifer Jane Photography (4)

There are so many beautiful touches to Kim and Kevin’s day. The bouquet is sublime (and lovely Jennifer Jane always gets that incredible shot! LOVE!) – the table flowers and florals all around the venue are perfect.

An English country garden is a place of tranquility, beauty and soft, playful colour. Its charm has inspired thousands of weddings dating back many, many years – and for me the wonder of an English garden wedding theme will never fade. Sarah and Nick’s wedding uses the very best of country garden styling and adds personal, traditional touches to the theme: tea and china, Pimms, fairy cakes, croquet and bunting. It’s so perfect!

Today’s stunning bride and groom married at Devon’s Deer Park Hotel, an 18th century Georgian mansion just outside of Honiton. The Deer Park’s enchanting gardens make for the loveliest backdrop for a summer wedding, and the orangery is a beautifully light ceremony venue.
