It’s so easy to get lost in Etsy, but I never really mind. I made a treasury of gorgeous little grey wedding ideas – the kinds of things I’d use if I were planning a wedding in soft tones and pale shades. There are hints of accent colours but everything feels gentle and elegant. I’ve been writing in pale grey inks this summer and all my couples have loved it… so get inspired by the beauty of grey and check out these lovely Etsy wedding suppliers today!

Morning everyone! How is your day going? I’ve been making inspiration boards for you today – some gorgeous ideas in soft green shades. Flowers take centre stage at weddings… but sometimes foliage can be as beautiful a theme as a floral one… see what you think!

I’m one of those girls with a stationery fetish. I love notelets and bookplates, and the highlight of my week is always receiving packs of wedding invites and envelopes from top printers and designers to address in calligraphy. When a bride and groom choose fantastic stationery it makes me happy – and nothing makes me happier than hearing of a couple who style their day around their invitations.

dragonfly and blossom lavender

On Monday, the lovely Sarah from Dragonfly and Blossom shared her beautiful flower wedding invitations on the blog, and I promised you more inspiration with a floral theme. Specifically, lavender – one of my favourite flowers for its scent and delicate appearance. It’s also a hugely popular wedding flower and looks gorgeous nestled on napkins at wedding receptions!

I’m not here today: I’m off somewhere having a Birthday. While I’m gone, I thought you’d enjoy a bit of Cake. Feast your little eyes on these!

What better wedding topic to touch upon on a Birthday than cake? I’ve been playing on Style Me Pretty and made some wedding inspiration boards inspired by gorgeous wedding cakes.

So happy cake day everyone! I’ll see you on the other side (of thirty-something).

Style Me Pretty’s new Inspiration Board tool

I have to take my hat off to the Style Me Pretty team. They’ve created an outstanding wedding website over the years and it’s grown from strength to strength to strength… but today they’ve just taken the biscuit. All the biscuits. (Too many cliches? Sorry!)

Seriously though – I used to make inspiration boards for the English Wedding blog and they took ages. I loved doing them but searching for pictures, downloading them, knocking them all together in photoshop and saving them could take over an hour at a time. So I stopped.

And then – via facebook I’ve just seen Style Me Pretty’s new Inspiration board tool. And I made mine in – count ’em – 55 seconds. Yep.

I think it’s gorgeous. If you disagree, try making your own! (I’ll race you!!!)

Register with Style Me Pretty. Find a blog post or the little icon on their site to create your board. Use the search box to find images that fit – I typed in purple, rustic, nature and then did a couple of searches with their little colour chart. Bingo!
