Words aren’t really enough sometimes… today’s wedding is more beautiful than any dictionary could ever define: a glorious celebration in fabulous style. Bryony and Richard were married at Hassop Hall in the autumn, and their day is breathtaking.

Images are by Sheffield wedding photographer John Mottershaw, who told me this wedding is one he’ll remember for its colours: “Autumn colours in beautiful sunshine combined with the slightly unusual colours of their outfits (Bryony made her own dress) all worked together to make this wedding a visual treat. A good looking, fun couple, Bryony and Richard were great to work with.

My family is from Derbyshire and so I know the wonderful contours of the Peak District rather well… and it’s one of the loveliest parts of England to be married: the mountains and moorlands are an incredible place to explore. Bryony and Richard were married at Hathersage Church and held their reception at Hassop Hall – one of my favourite Derbyshire wedding venues.Claire

Kate and David’s wedding is beautiful, perfect… the dream summer wedding at a venue I know is a pretty special place (my cousin was married here!) – and they have the loveliest images to remember it by, from John Mottershaw Photography and with my friend Carol Elizabeth Photography as his second shooter on the day. “We ended up having 2-4-1 on the wedding day as John brought in Carol as an extra pair of hands, so we were very lucky! They both fitted in so well with the guests and you barely noticed they were there snapping away.”

“We were both so pleased when we came across Charlotte’s boutiqueShe was completely different to other boutiques. We sat down while we filled in a questionnaire like what was my budget and what sort of designers I liked etc. and then I just started trying on dresses that she would pick out for me. She would then use the feedback I had on certain dresses to then pick out the next dress. Until finally I found the one! I knew it was perfect from the moment I tried it on.”

Did you see Sally and Richard’s stunning English countryside wedding on the blog back in November? I LOVED it. They married at Hassop Hall and their wedding photographer was the lovely Shaun Taylor.

I loved my cousin’s wedding at Hassop Hall in Derbyshire – it was a beautiful celebration, Jenny looked amazing and Charlie every bit the English gent – a wedding I’ll never forget. I’ve been waiting for years for someone to send me another Hassop Hall wedding to feature on the blog, and finally – at last! it’s happened. Today I bring you the most beautiful English countryside wedding courtesy of gorgeous bride and groom Sally and Richard.

I love this wedding for so many reasons – Hassop Hall is just an incredible venue in rural Derbyshire and I absolutely fell in love with the place. Sally and Richard are a fun, creative and fabulous-looking couple, and they made their wedding day really personal with lots of details from little homemade pots of jam with labels, to photo frame table numbers – which are brilliant! and then the “Welsh Bob Marley and an air hostess cake topper”… it’s genius. I love it!
