Rosie Willett Designs is delighted to announce they will be launching a brand new wedding headpiece and jewellery collection at the end of February.

The collection is certain to delight brides-to-be in 2015, as Rosie has created a range that will complement the most current wedding dress styles.

Rosie says: “The new range includes a total of nine headpieces – a collection of delicate vines, combs and headbands made with sparkling Swarovski crystal that catches the light with movement, like a twinkling star or a soft scattering of glitter. With pieces in this collection ranging from £72 to £266, I’m aiming to offer something affordable for all brides-to-be.

“We always look at emerging trends in bridal wear to influence our collections. Crystal embellished wedding dresses are very popular this season and we have created a collection of headpieces and jewellery that will complement both embellished gowns and also add some sparkle to plainer dress styles. The delicate nature of our designs is also perfect for pretty lace dresses and illusion necklines.”

Glam Hatters’ Janie is one of the most enthusiastic, friendly and charming wedding suppliers you’ll find. She’s the milliner and designer behind Glam Hatters‘ tea parties, and we’ve been chatting online about her latest adventures. What a fabulously fascinating life Janie leads! As I type I’ve just realised this is the perfect example of a compelling wedding business story: Janie had me hooked with tales of her adventures, from her own wedding day to international catwalks to Vietnamese beaches to Glam Hatters’ London HQ… so I’ll share her story along with some images to showcase her talents too. Enjoy!

“This one’s a bit unusual. I made the angels in gold plated wire and the wings are pages from “Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde, woven into with wire. It’s a love letter to Peter (my husband). His friends call him Dorian Gray because he doesn’t age and they are all quite jealous – as am I!!!”

One of the things I love most about my life as a wedding blogger is stumbling across amazing little craft businesses – and I spend far too much time on Etsy! May I introduce you to someone very special today? Lovely Emma at Hapitat makes these wonderful recycled floral hair accessories using recycled and vintage fabrics. Aren’t they beautiful?

Emma discovered her talents when she made her first giant floral hair accessory out of left over silk from her homemade wedding dress. “My signature huge silk flower headpiece was born, and I’ve been creating beautiful handmade flowers, giant and small and in-between ever since.”

I use recycled fabric new and vintage, I scout charity chops, vintage fairs, garage sales and car boot sales for old clothing fabric feathers and lace that have been unloved and unused. I create beautiful timeless headpieces that can start a new story of their own.

I’ve always been fascinated by tiaras. If I could, I’d wear a different one for every day of the week. They are beautiful, elegant and striking pieces of jewellery, associated with glamour, wealth and status, and worn by many cultures throughout history. Vintage-inspired wedding hair accessories are a real trend for 2014, with styles from art deco bands to Victoriana and vintage tiaras enjoying a little renaissance with UK brides. But where do these adornments come from, and why do we wear them?

As my darling Gareth would say in his best Frank Spencer accent, “I think I’ve done a little whoopsie.” I’ll elaborate: in March I asked wedding jewellers to share their sparkliest designs on the English Wedding Showcase. I intended to share them with you all the very next week… I made two inspiration boards and put them on the English Wedding facebook page, but forgot to share them with you here! Let’s fix that 🙂
