top UK wedding photography blog Chris Hanley (25)Today’s real wedding blog is a true feast for your eyes and heart: with exquisite photography from one of England’s top wedding photographers, and so many romantic moments – Rick and Karen are head over heels in love and it shows. They married at Rookery Hall in June and chose my friend Chris Hanley Photography to capture their day. The images are simply out of this world – Chris is a master photographer whose images are used by Queensberry to sell the most luxurious wedding albums money can buy.

There’s more! Karen is a designer, and the wedding stationery is all her own work. The typography is gorgeous; the art deco feel of her designs is elegant and fashionable, and I love a wedding where lettering and type are a key feature of the decor and styling.

Karen and Rick take centre stage as today’s bride and groom, with Karen looking stunning in her bespoke David Fielden wedding dress and Rick so very handsome in his military uniform. You will love these two – with an outstanding collection of wedding photographs and a fantastic wedding report to enjoy – this is one of the very best. Enjoy!

Trusting your wedding suppliers

The relationship you’ll have with many of your wedding suppliers is different to other shopping experiences – to say the least! It’s more like the relationship you’ll have with other departments at work: you’re relying on them for some really, really important things!

But you’ll have more invested in this relationship, so it’s crucial that you can trust everything to run smoothly. How?

Trusting your wedding suppliers

How to trust your wedding suppliers

In a nutshell both you and your important suppliers should be completely honest and open, share information up front and ask even the silliest questions so it’s all completely clear. Knowledge is half of the battle.

Feeling comfortable is also essential. Those suppliers who’ll either be with you on your wedding day, or who will be providing a service at the venue, have to be great at their job. They have to be dedicated and committed to your wedding and determined to make sure their part of it is perfect. So you need to be confident you’ve hired the right kind of people.

I can’t stress this enough: if I have one Top Tip to share with brides and grooms, it’s this blog post. Every couple can afford the very best in this sense: luxury customer service costs nothing, special touches make all the difference and the Experience is what it’s all about…

Wedding suppliers also take note – are you selling a product or service, or is your wedding business providing an experience brides and grooms will truly love, remember and recommend?

What you should really look for in a wedding supplier

The very best wedding suppliers I’ve met are those focusing on the experience you’ll have with them. From the first time you hear about them, visit their website, call for a chat or send an email enquiry – look for someone who is enthusiastic about your wedding and delighted to be involved, and for someone who genuinely cares.

This morning I set out on my little scooter for an adventure: to meet two Cheshire wedding suppliers I’d heard rave reviews about and featured on the blog although we’d never met in person.

Laura from Green Earth Flowers and Michelle from Timeless Bride have built their wedding businesses around their personalities – both are passionate about their work and led by ethical principles: I learned a lot about being welcoming, honest and inspiring, from both of these ladies this morning.

In fact Laura and Michelle gave me so much to think about (2 A4 pages of scribbles and thoughts in my big notebook!) that I’ll be writing a number of blog posts over the next week and a bit: advice on choosing a wedding dress, getting creative with your wedding flowers, even some great tips for avoiding wedding planning stress.
