I’ve known Fiona through the English Wedding Blog for years. She’s an absolute gem of the wedding world – a super talented photographer and one of those genuinely lovely people whose emails can brighten up an entire week. So when Fiona sent me images of her and David’s very own wedding, I instantly knew I had to share it with all of you – and oh my, it’s just so beautiful!

“I loved our wedding, perhaps most of all because we had such a beautiful ceremony. I had a lovely friend who is a priest perform the ceremony, and we got married in a gorgeous private Catholic chapel owned by the Tempest family for ten centuries. While I was saying my vows I looked up at my husband (who is very tall) and noticed the ceiling, which was covered with blue and gold stars. It felt almost as if we were saying our vows under heaven! We also had a blessing for my son, Leo.”

One of the best things about writing my wedding blog is getting to know people in the industry. As a calligrapher I ‘meet’ other suppliers online, and as a blogger I’ve met some really amazing wedding suppliers from all walks of life. I was honoured to be involved in a ‘quintessentially English’ wedding photo shoot with Fiona Campbell this summer, and I’m delighted to be able to welcome Fiona as a new sponsor of the English Wedding Blog.

Fiona told me how important it is to find a wedding photographer you can trust, get along with and relate to. “You need a lovely person to have around you on an incredibly special day and to help make things easy.”

She says, “When you book me you get excellent equipment, insurance, backup and, of course, my lovely personality. My particular strength is helping to reassure people in front of the camera. I always work with a second shooter to make sure I can be in two places at once.

Hello everyone! I hope you had the loveliest of weekends. It’s been gorgeous here and I’ve spent some time in the countryside over the last couple of days… reflecting on how beautiful nature can be, as the leaves begin to change to glorious reds and autumn shades. Today’s feature continues on from last week’s beautiful woodland wedding fairytale at Owlpen Manor. I was honoured to supply calligraphy for this ideas shoot, which was put together by the very lovely Fiona Campbell and Kat Forsyth alongside some more star wedding industry names.

The images here show ideas for styling a fairytale wedding with a very natural theme – delicate florals with a rustic touch, quintessentially English quotes and table settings with just a dash of Shakespeare! If you’d like to incorporate any of these ideas into your own wedding day then do get in touch. There’s a full supplier list a little way down the page with links to everyone involved.
