Louisa and David describe their day as a “simple, traditional country wedding” – and for me, it’s the perfect celebration. They told me their images (by Somerset photographer Michael Riley) “captured the atmosphere, the emotion and the look of the whole wedding perfectly.”

The day was held at a 14th century coaching inn, the wonderful and charming George Inn, which needed very little decoration. Louisa worked with David’s Mum to arrange the flowers for the day, and made some rustic bunting which complemented their stationery (from Paperchase) and tied the theme of the day together.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you’ve had an amazing holiday and enjoyed the 100 real weddings I featured on the blog over Christmas. Time now for the first real wedding of 2015… and it’s just gorgeous. I love the little details today’s bride and groom created for their day – their attention to detail is wonderful; there is plenty here to inspire your own big day and I know you’ll love it!

Siobhan is beautiful, wearing a lace dress with a delicate belt. Her accessories are fabulous – and I adore her bouquet, by Leonora Rose. The styling of the day is a highlight though – with friends and family all pitching in to help with stationery design, decorating, table arrangements and the seating plan there’s so much to see!

Crab Manor has so much character it could pop… and what better wedding venue to get your guests talking and having a blast! There’s so much to Lauren and Bob’s Yorkshire wedding, it is definitely one of my favourite weddings this year.

The gorgeous couple describe their day as ‘a little bit vintage’ – it’s elegantly done and the focus is on the beautiful ceremony and celebrations with tons of laughter and love in the air. The venue is a huge highlight but doesn’t detract from the details: Lauren wears a handmade designer dress – she loved it so much she never wanted to take it off 🙂

Accessories came from Glitzy Secrets, and this lovely creative bride sewed earrings to her shoes and added a hair comb to the belt of her dress… which looks wonderful. The flowers are simple hydrangeas – which I adore. Images are by lovely Laura Calderwood Photography (based in Yorkshire):

Good morning everyone, I hope you’re all safe and my heart goes out to those of you affected by flooding today. We had some of the worst gales here yesterday, but it’s much calmer now here on the west coast. Now – if you haven’t seen me sneak peeking this wedding on the English Wedding facebook page, where’ve you been?! I’ve struggled to hold back on sharing all the beautiful images and ideas with you.

Clare and Ian are just incredible. Their wedding is breathtaking! The rustic styling is beautiful and colourful, with gorgeous DIY touches throughout. Clare looks stunning and Ian and all the guys look great in sand coloured suits – perfect for the rustic theme. There are so many gorgeous things to watch out for, I think you should grab a cuppa and at least one biscuit and settle down to enjoy this one properly.
