When lovely Jessy Jones got in touch to show me Tom and Natalie’s day I was so excited – honestly, their day is just so pretty and perfect to share with you here. The bride and groom are gorgeous: the flower crown is super sweet and I LOVE the daisies – I hope you will too! Oh, and did I mention the awesome golden dinosaurs? 😉

“We didn’t really have a theme – we wanted the wedding to reflect us both. Flowers were a big part of our wedding, particularly daisies and roses, with zombies, dinosaurs and mermaids thrown in!

Throughout the wedding planning I was most certain about what style of bouquet I wanted and I knew I needed to get the right florist to get the look I wanted. When I met Sharon at a wedding fair I knew she got what I wanted. We had several meetings – I changed my mind several times but we got there in the end. Out of everything I was so excited to see what my flowers would look like – I was not disappointed: the flowers, the flower crown… everything was perfect. Sharon was absolutely lovely as well. I would recommend her to anyone – she really goes above and beyond to make your day perfect. www.sharonsflowerhouse.co.uk

Do you love where you live? Do you have a favourite place where you can disappear and just sink yourself into a feeling of how beautiful the world is? I’m lucky: there are so many spots around my home on the edge of the Lakes, and it’s wonderful to see amazing photographers appreciating just how stunning this place is. Wedding photographer Jo Bradbury just took the place I love to a whole new level...

The striking seashore at Rampside on the edge of The Lake District was the inspiration behind this coastal styled shoot. With its quirky Victorian lighthouse, rusting fishing boats and grey green seagrass the shoreline made a perfect backdrop for a romantic and elegant sea themed bridal look.

Rampside itself is somewhat off the well trodden Lake District tourist trail, but is an absolute gem of a place with a sweeping coastline from which you can get a small ferry to Piel Island.

On the day of the shoot itself, the sun shone brightly and the dream team were lucky enough to be able to shoot in various locations, both inside and outside the Midland Hotel. Situated right on the curve of Morecambe’s seafront, the hotel was built in 1933 and as such maintains a distinct Art Deco feel to its interior and thus provided the initial inspiration behind the day’s shoot.
