Morning everyone! How are you? I have a pretty amazing real wedding feature for you this morning – one that shows just how a wedding bursting with personality can be an incredibly memorable occasion. Katie and Tristan are the loveliest couple, and their Newquay wedding blog simply oozes with ideas and inspiration with a very personal touch.

Katie’s written a brilliant wedding report to share with you so I will hand over to her as soon as I can! I must just say a huge thank you to the beautiful, beautiful bride – Katie, you’re a real star! And to her gorgeous groom Tristan as well for sharing such an inspiring wedding story. Their wedding photographer is Pat Kelman, based in London. Do check out his website – Katie and Tristan insisted on having Pat travel all the way to Cornwall for their wedding, which goes to show how special he is!

After pleading my case for English stately homes vs French chateaux last week it seems like the perfect time to look at an English castle wedding. Amy and Dan’s big day was beautiful – a relaxed wedding in Cornwall at Pendennis Castle. Talk about a stunning venue – this is really pretty amazing.

I love how their wedding has a style rather than a theme. It seems a lovely way to make the day’s styling very personal: to choose things you both love rather than going for a single colour or theme and finding things to fit in. Amy looks absolutely gorgeous, and she and Dan created their very own magical day – it works a treat!

The images are by wedding photographer Alan Law, and Amy and Dan have shared their wedding story at the end of the blog post today. I loved reading it – especially the surprise mentioned in the title. You won’t want to miss it, I promise! I gasped and had a tear in my eye when I read it myself!

I’ve always loved hearing stories of elopements and intimate weddings. There’s something magical about a secret wedding, don’t you think? Do you remember Jason and Trudie’s surprise wedding from last year? I loved it – and I’ve found another I love equally as much, with the help of the lovely Andrew from Cornwall wedding photographers Travers & Brown. Enjoy! Claire xxx

The most intimate of weddings, Marianne and Will from Nottingham decided to escape to the dramatic North Cornish coast for their stunningly secluded marriage at Fentafriddle Farm. A wedding party consisting of four, the couple were joined by their two sons and have shared with us their truly touching images from the day captured by Travers & Brown.

A secret affair, only their respective parents knew they were heading to Cornwall to get married and their boys weren’t in on the secret until the day before – they thought they were just on holiday. Following the ceremony, the family headed to the beach for photographs followed by an intimate dinner back at the farm cooked by a private chef.

However you’re feeling this morning, it’s time to smile – today’s wedding will lift your heart and inspire you with the loveliest decor and details, and such beautiful images of the Cornish coast… needless to say it’s already a favourite for me! I’ve already shared sneak peeks on facebook – I couldn’t wait!

Thank you to Keith Riley Photography for making my day with these amazing images. Congratulations and huge thanks to Claire and Ryan – the most inspiring and gorgeous couple imaginable! – for sharing their wedding report (which you’ll find halfway down this page).

I absolutely love this wedding, from the styling of the marquee (the palest pink roses; delicate touches and fabulous stationery and details) to the beach scenes and the most beautiful bride… I know you will too. Enjoy! Claire xxx
