Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a lovely day. I’ve been excitedly waiting for the new website from Phil Drinkwater Photography to land on my screen since… ooh, months! And it’s here. Phil has had his weddings featured regularly on the English Wedding Blog as well as on Brides Up North, and has featured on the Wedding Community Blog also.

Phil – congratulations!

Phil Drinkwater is a favourite photographer of mine, and has previously won the Guild of Photographers’ “Photographer of the Year” award.

As one of the very best luxury wedding venues in the North West, Chatsworth House hosts incredibly beautiful weddings. The stately home is famous for its spectacular gardens, houses one of the most important private art and sculpture collections and is set in 1000 acres of stunning parkland. Phil says on his own wedding photography blog that Chatsworth “is the perfect venue for beautiful wedding photography”.

It strikes me this morning that a PapaKata wedding is always exciting and unique. If you want your wedding day to be beautiful but non-traditional – you’ll be needing one of these!

Siobhan and Chris had a beautiful, individual wedding in Cheshire this year. With my friend and Cheshire wedding photographer Phil Drinkwater to document their wedding day in pictures, this is such an inspiring story to share with you.

Before I leave you to enjoy Siobhan and Chris’s wedding report with all of those beautiful images, I need to mention the dancing. I’ve featured PapaKata weddings on English Wedding Blog before – but today is special. Watch out for the last few pictures, which show PapaKata by night… the sparkling lights and festival atmosphere is enchanting!

Enjoy.

What did you wear?

I wore an all-lace Lusan Mandongus gown, with a sash ‘Lola’ by Sash and Co and Rachel Simpson shoes ‘Mimi’ all purchased at the beautiful Cheshire bridal boutique, the White Closet.

I’ve made a new friend. Wedding photographer Phil Drinkwater sent in Emma and Tom’s gorgeous Cheshire wedding to feature on the blog at the beginning of September. I followed it up with a wedding inspiration board and we got chatting. I’m absolutely delighted to now welcome Phil as a new sponsor of the English Wedding blog.

Kilts, sporrens, and the broadest of happy smiles are lined up for you right now in this beautiful wedding day. Who doesn’t love a groom in a kilt… and one with a tear in his eye as he sees his bride approach the altar in church?

You’ll love this, you really really will. And I dare you not to cry just a little bit in the next five minutes!

wedding photography real wedding photos by ARJ Photography Cheshire (1)This wedding was submitted by my friend and wedding blog sponsor Adam Johnson of ARJ Photography in Manchester. Andy and Bec were married at St Benedict’s church in Womborne with a reception at Dunsley Hall in Kinver. Andy’s family are Scottish and there were many lovely details incorporated into the wedding to celebrate the Scottish connection.

Bec is a stunning bride with a beautiful smile: there are nervous moments and a few tears for both bride and groom today – but when they’re together Andy and Bec just look so happy.
