It’s been so lovely feeling the sunshine on my face as I walk along my beach these last few weeks. It’s felt like a promise: things WILL be lovely again, and we’ll have our safety and freedom back – and weddings! I’ve been delighted to see some fave wedding photographer friends getting back to doing what they love, and when I spotted this gorgeous couples shoot by Devon wedding photographer Grace Elizabeth I simply had to share!
We’ve featured some incredible bouquets on English Wedding in recent weeks – and with Valentine’s Day this weekend it inspired me to put a little collection together to inspire you! I’ve had a little whizz through our recent archives and found these stunning wedding flower ideas. There’s something for everyone – real flowers for every season, in every colour you can dream of. Some of our favourite bouquets are wild and flowing; others neat and pretty. There are bouquets with oodles of foliage; and some with simple blooms and statement flowers. And we’ve picked (pun intentional!) examples from florists around the UK to share with you today. After the year we’ve all had, it makes me so, so happy to be able to share real weddings. 2020 weddings were few and far between, but oh, the days which were able to go ahead as micro weddings have been SO special! Today we’re celebrating with beautiful Danielle and handsome husband Lewis, who were married in 2020. Their story is told in the loveliest photographs by English Wedding member Grace Elizabeth, a Devon wedding photographer. My heart goes out to Danielle and Lewis – having to postpone their wedding because of covid, and then changing dates so their micro wedding could go ahead, must have been so hard. It’s really heartwarming to hear how their suppliers pulled out all the stops to make this day happen. Happy September, lovely! Now – I’ve had this beautiful wedding up my sleeve for a little while, because there are a few little baubles in here… and I thought we should probably wait until September before mentioning Christmas! It’s a BEAUTIFUL wedding though, so I absolutely couldn’t wait a moment longer before sharing it with you. Susanna and Kieran’s wedding is perfect. They married last year, with only 8 ceremony guests and a relaxed and informal celebration with some beautiful touches. Honestly, these two are the cutest couple and I’m so excited to share their day with you. Watch out for the EPIC florals and for Susanna’s gorgeous Charlie Brear jumpsuit, which is absolutely stunning!
