The sunlight in these wedding images is just dreamy – when wedding photographers talk about golden hour you just know you’ve found the right one, don’t you? And Annabel and Sam’s wedding portraits are so beautiful I just had to start with their evening pics! What a gorgeous couple… and the loveliest set of images you can imagine.

We chose Love in Focus after recommendation from a friend and looking at his website.

We couldn’t be happier with our photos! Sandy was brilliant on the day. He was unobtrusive and hidden in the background to get all the natural photos we wanted but assertive on the group shots to ensure everyone was in place. The pictures really capture the essence of the day and his attention to detail was spot on.

When we saw our wedding photos for the first time we were thrilled, excited to relive the day again through the photos and a lovely recap of the moments.

Naomi Neoh has released new imagery of her 2017 Eden Collection – they’re too beautiful to miss! I first featured these exquisite gowns in 2016, when I fell head over heels in love with the delicate botanical textures and fine silks of this exquisite bridal collection.

New for 2017, Naomi Neoh has introduced layers of beautiful interchangeable separates. They’re exquisitely made and infinitely wearable – choose from these sublime pieces to wear over a corseted crepe under-dress on your wedding day and feel simply amazing!

Katherine’s interview is ace – don’t miss it at the end of the blog post if you’re getting married this year. I love her words of wisdom: “Stay true to both your styles and choose the things that you like . Everyone says ‘it will always come together ‘ when you are at your most stressed times with planning and they are so right. After the day, you’ll have no idea why you were so worried.”

“From the moment we met Richard and Christine we knew they were the photographers for us. They were so warm, friendly and honest. Our engagement shoot- although nerve wracking – produced such stunning images and we are overjoyed with our wedding images.

Today’s styled shoot is gorgeous and adorable and so very, very inspiring! I adore the feel of a relaxed but super glamorous 1930s house party – it’s simply fabulous and with Mabel the Boston Terrier modelling as ‘best man’ for the day, the cute factor totally wins my heart!

Words & images by lovely Sandra Reddin Photography (based in London)

“All of the elements for this 30’s style shoot fell into place quite naturally once we got the okay from the venue. Sprivers Mansion in Kent is a characterful and elegant Georgian house and both myself and stylist/florist Gwenda Jeffs had worked there before on weddings. So, we were thrilled to get the go ahead as we wanted the images to be full of glamour and Sprivers is the perfect setting for a vintage themed shoot with its ornate fireplaces and crystal chandeliers.

Happy Saturday, you beautiful people! Whatever your plans today, I hope they’re full of love and hugs – this week has been heartbreaking and it really brings home the need to enjoy every moment we’re lucky enough to be living happily and in love. Publicly on the blog I’m still sharing beautiful things as an escape from the everyday and as a focus on the future – and so today I have something extraordinarily wonderful to show you.

Lovely Emma Jane got in touch to share this stunning walled garden wedding inspo with us all. I adore the styling – the hand lettering, the little golden pears.

The olive branches and minimalist, pretty cake are divine. But what wins this shoot for me is the absolutely gorgeous bride and groom and their super cute four legged friend…

The shoot was based at Sugnall Walled Garden in Staffordshire. The concept was to portray an outdoor, elegant yet rustic feel aptly named “An Outdoor Romance.”

Did you see our beautiful Hardwick Hall shoot a few weeks ago? It’s such a fabulous place, I simply had to take you back for a whole new world of wedding beautiful there…

Humpston and Bull Photography at Hardwick Hall - beautiful marquee styling with florals and a touch of sparkle (25)

In collaboration with Honeysuckle & Castle, the show stopping marquee by Every Occasion Marquees looked fantastic! Light and bright due the double aspect windows showing the superb panoramic views of the estate, the tent was classically styled to reflect the majestic opulence and grandeur of Hardwick Hall.

As soon as you walked in to the marquee, you were instantly aware of the glamorous and extravagant theme. Above, Fabric Theatre hung spectacular ribbons, drapes and ornate chandeliers that glistened and reflected the sun’s rays. With large light up Love heart letters against the bar and a light up dance floor, the dazzling scene was set for a perfect wedding day.

Hello lovelies! I have a treat for you today – an EXCLUSIVE saving for English Wedding Blog readers for a modern calligraphy workshop in Manchester on the 23rd of June.

I host calligraphy workshops every few weeks – this summer’s dates will be June 23rd and 11th August. We spend 2 – 3 hours on a chilled out Friday afternoon learning to write beautiful letters together, and I honestly love teaching the classes so much!

The calligraphy workshop is small and friendly, with only around a dozen places in each class. Students are always a mix of brides-to-be and their friends or mums, creative wedding industry folks, graphic designers and crafty types. Whichever of these you are, you will LOVE learning modern calligraphy – anyone can do it! Manchester is wonderfully central with students coming by train from as far as Edinburgh and Birmingham, Wales and Newcastle for the day!

Kaari and Kelly's Osea Island wedding - image credit Ayshea Goldberg Photography Essex (19)

Osea Island is paradise personified. The venue only needed a few touches to make our Gatsby theme come to life!

In the months leading up to the wedding my flat looked like a storage depot mixed with a mad artist with a penchant for glitter, ribbon and foam board. A shout out to my amazing girlfriends who DIY’d into the stratosphere with me and forgave my toddler like meltdowns (e.g. world is now ending because one shade of gold ribbon is different than the other :/) I so owe them.

My sister-in-law was scheduled to be our photographer – but unfortunately at the last minute she was unable to attend the wedding. I was in a panic – overwhelmed by planning and unable to process any major changes. My husband really stepped up and through the magic of Google and Ayshea’s amazing and captivating site he knew she was the one. Once I spoke to her – and she was warm – I knew we were in good hands. And we were.

I’ve known Fiona through the English Wedding Blog for years. She’s an absolute gem of the wedding world – a super talented photographer and one of those genuinely lovely people whose emails can brighten up an entire week. So when Fiona sent me images of her and David’s very own wedding, I instantly knew I had to share it with all of you – and oh my, it’s just so beautiful!

Fabulous inspo for a 1920s vintage wedding at Broughton Hall on the English Wedding Blog (4)

“I loved our wedding, perhaps most of all because we had such a beautiful ceremony. I had a lovely friend who is a priest perform the ceremony, and we got married in a gorgeous private Catholic chapel owned by the Tempest family for ten centuries. While I was saying my vows I looked up at my husband (who is very tall) and noticed the ceiling, which was covered with blue and gold stars. It felt almost as if we were saying our vows under heaven! We also had a blessing for my son, Leo.”

Instagram has the delicious power to turn us all into fans of the most incredible artisan designers – even before we dare to dream of having something made just for us. I LOVE Ailsa Munro‘s beautiful bespoke wedding gowns. There are so many talented makers and designers I follow on social media – your wedding is the perfect opportunity to discover them too! Recently I’ve discovered the incredibly talented Sarah Brown Jewellery and I was thrilled to bits when Ailsa told me she’d commissioned a bespoke engagement ring from Sarah herself.

Ailsa’s story is a beautiful reminder that every wedding ‘transaction’ is an experience – a personal journey which really means something. It’s also a wonderful insight into the process of having something made for you, and I hope you love reading her story.

My job is making bespoke wedding dresses, so it should come as no surprise that when my boyfriend and I decided to get engaged I had very specific ideas about what I wanted for my engagement ring.

Devon brides and grooms might already know Hannah Taylor – today’s beautiful bride and fabulously creative wedding stylist. It fascinates me to see wedding industry insiders’ weddings – and Hannah really pulled out all the stops to make her wedding to Michael stand out from the crowd. It’s deliciously alternative, breathtakingly beautiful and such a fabulous example of a truly individual day. Hannah and Michael are both gorgeous – this really is a treat and I hope you’ll LOVE their wedding photos as much as I do!

A unique and enchanting candlelit wedding at Bridwell Park. Images Martin Dabek Photography (13)

“I did my own flowers which l kept to a minimum as we had a February wedding when flowers aren’t plentifull. I used lots of accessories instead on our dinning table – fabrics, cut glass bottles and candles. My bouquet was made up from silk, artificial and fresh flowers.

We mainly focused our decoration on the house dinning room and chapel as bridwell’s such a beautiful house it didn’t need much else. I love making and creating – I’m doing it most days but for other peoples weddings this time it was for us. Yes it felt extra special!. I made and provided all our decor.

However stunning the location or decoration, it’s the bride and groom, their family and friends that really make for a great wedding, everything else is secondary – so say the fabulous documentary wedding photographers York Place Studios.

Today’s wedding has an amazing little ninja page boy in a head to toe gold costume (awesome), an actual bandstand, some bemused pic-nic-ers (how on earth do I spell that?!) and the most gorgeous bride and groom in like, ever. Plus the best atmosphere you could dream of… and it all comes across so beautifully in the photos.

The venue? Battersea Park Pump House. What an amazing spot to get married! Although really – as the happiness shining out from today’s pics totally shows – it doesn’t matter where you’re married, because it’s just all about sharing the best moment of your life with the folks you love.
