Oooh where to start?! Michelle and Marc are a cool couple whose vintage chic wedding with a modern twist has some fabulous details – stunning rustic country flowers, tweed and bow ties for the boys, a 1950’s styled bridal dress, with cornflower blue bridesmaids… oh it’s beautiful and there’s so much to tell! They married at Peover Golf Club in Cheshire, on the hottest day of last year – and their wedding photos tell such a magical story.

I fell in love with these images of a wonderfully playful, quirky wedding look as soon as I saw them. I love the brave bridal style: a cute corset and the most amazing vintage-inspired petticoats look like so much fun, don’t they?! They’re made by Doris Designs in Surrey and I can’t think of anything I’d love to wear more! (I just can’t decide if I’d wear mine with bridal shoes or my rollerblades hehe)

Some weddings instantly grab me as a wedding blogger, and today’s is one of them. Here’s a little secret: it’s not the details which make a ‘bloggable wedding’. Neither is it the bride and groom, or the dress, or the photography, or the venue. It’s everything: all of these matter when I’m looking for a wedding to blog, and the magical ingredient is the atmosphere they create when combined together… it’s like the alchemy of love in weddings!

I’ve been so excited to share today’s wedding with you all, in fact it’s one I’ve been waiting for since I first saw the gorgeous photos on Jason Mark Harris‘s blog back in November. It’s such a beautiful day – with a stunning bride, handsome groom and a brand new wedding venue for the English Wedding Blog. You can see all the Kent weddings I’ve featured on the blog here, but this is the first from High Rocks, an extraordinary wedding venue with five impressive function rooms and a unique setting which promises an unforgettable day and a spectacular wedding photo album!
