Hey lovelies! Friday at last and I’m smiling for lots of reasons this morning! 1 – I get to see my gorgeous boyfriend in a few hours’ time yay! 2 – it’s going to be March tomorrow and that means spring! and 3 – I’ve got a beautiful sunny wedding to share with you all today, thanks to gorgeous bride and groom Amy and Matt, and to Dorset wedding photographer Howard Lucas.
The only thing I miss, being on the edge of the Lake District at English Wedding Blog HQ, is meeting people – I chat to brides, grooms and wedding suppliers all over the country but I rarely get to meet you all! I’ve been having a lovely chat with my online friend Pumpkin and Pye designer Natasha this week, and had to show you some of her gorgeous button and brooch wedding bouquets!
I wish I could have taken you with me on Tuesday when I went to visit Broadoaks Country House in the Lake District. Since I came to live on the edge of the Lakes in 2012 I’ve visited a few venues but nothing comes close to the charm of this little gem. Broadoaks Country House is described as “one of the most romantic hotels in the UK” by the AA. The website promises “secluded gardens, a magical beck that runs through our grounds and the Lake District scenery… the perfect backdrop for romantic photographs”. And oh my goodness do they deliver on those promises, with bells on!
Hello everyone! I have two lovely things to share with you this fine Wednesday afternoon… one for all the wedding blog fans out there, and one for wedding suppliers and photographers!
Romanza styled wedding ideas shoot sneak peek!
I can hardly wait to show you the images from a shoot I was involved in this month, but the blog schedule is packed to bursting! Just this once though, I’m sneak peeking an image or two with you… with a promise of more to come early in March. Music lovers, this blog feature will be dedicated to you! Why? I’ll tell you later… See more...
Did you miss yesterday’s unmissable vintage tea party wedding blog? Noooo… quickly, off you go and catch up right here: Laura and David’s Oriental vintage tea party wedding. Then come back because I’ve saved some extra images from the very lovely Hayley Ruth Photography to help show you how to get the same rustic vintage look for your own big day.
Laura and David hired a marquee for their big day but I think this look would work just as beautifully with a teepee or a barn wedding venue, don’t you? Here are the key pieces and projects which tied their gorgeous wedding style together. Hope you like!
