Apologies everyone for the cheesy title to this blog post. I’m overheating and in a giggly mood! I have a very special blog feature this morning for you – delicious and money-saving, written (and styled and photographed!) by wedding experts and with beautiful images. And for cheese lovers, this is just perfect. Tasting box, anyone? Oooh….

Imagine a tiered tower of artisan cheeses, hand-selected to create a perfectly balanced cheeseboard, and cared for by their dedicated cheesemongers to arrive in peak condition for your wedding day. What a fabulous centrepiece with a difference for your wedding breakfast!

Glam Hatters’ Janie is one of the most enthusiastic, friendly and charming wedding suppliers you’ll find. She’s the milliner and designer behind Glam Hatters‘ tea parties, and we’ve been chatting online about her latest adventures. What a fabulously fascinating life Janie leads! As I type I’ve just realised this is the perfect example of a compelling wedding business story: Janie had me hooked with tales of her adventures, from her own wedding day to international catwalks to Vietnamese beaches to Glam Hatters’ London HQ… so I’ll share her story along with some images to showcase her talents too. Enjoy!

On your wedding day, the location of your photographs will probably be limited to your venue or somewhere nearby, but for an engagement photo session, the world is your oyster.”

What a wonderful little bite of truth from wedding photographer Adam at AdamsPhotoArt. You spend weeks choosing your ideal wedding venue which will form the backdrop to all of your photos on the day. There’ll be gardens and furnishings to suit your personalities, but any venue might lack variety… so when it comes to your engagement shoot you should choose somewhere with as many aspects and characters as you can dream of!

When I look back at some of my old images I cringe – big time. If I was still writing the way I did three years ago my businesses would be buried at the bottom of the internet and desperately clutching at bargain basement brides. Because everything changes.

In the wedding industry change comes so fast – never mind that vintage has been around for years, everything else has changed. And by the skin of my teeth I’ve managed to keep up. How? Because I innovate, and change, and watch trends, and never stop inventing and being creative.

Lisa and Frank make such a gorgeous couple, and their wedding in Birmingham was sweet and simple with a focus on friends and family. Lisa describes their day as ‘the best day of our lives’ – and told me she loved her dress so much she didn’t want to take it off!
