A few weeks ago I fell head over heels in love with My Fayre Favourite: real vintage accessories given new life by designer Charlotte, and sold worldwide in her Etsy shop. I’m sooo thrilled to be able to show you her beautiful one-off designs as part of a gorgeous and inspiring vintage shoot at Sprivers Mansion in Kent.
Images are by the very lovely Penny Young Photography. Penny’s featured many times on the English Wedding Blog and her images are always inspiring. Find out more about her here:
I’m sure most of you will have an idea how you’ll wear your hair a long time before the big day comes around: from the first dress fitting you’ll picture how your locks will look… or at least imagine yourself as the gorgeous boho bride with loose locks, or the elegant vintage girl with fabulous curls and lippy to match… right?

Hey everyone! Would you like to help me with a discussion coming up on the English Wedding Blog soon? I’m asking for your thoughts on exclusivity… brides, suppliers, other wedding bloggers I would love to hear from you all!
My question: should wedding blogs ask for exclusivity for styled shoots and real weddings? How long for?
Exclusivity for wedding blogs
Every wedding blogger wants their blog to stand out from the crowd, and being able to publish gorgeous shoots before anyone else is key to that. If two blogs published the same shoot within a week it wouldn’t look so good… See more...
I love a Pixies wedding… there will always be those ‘wow’ photographs – and for Steven and Sara there were so many. Today’s real wedding on the blog is a fun celebration full of brilliant ideas. Sara wears a Stella York gown, and Steven’s Next suit looks perfect… they’re a fab couple, as creative as they are gorgeous and I know you’ll adore their wedding!
My favourite idea from their wedding is the table plan, accompanied by polaroid pics of every guest with the instruction to “Find You”! – I love this! And there’s so much more… the jenga guest book, wedding signpost, the amazing flowers and glorious portraits taken in woodland at Abbeywood Estate. See more...
Kate and Chris’s wedding is divine: a luxury summer celebration with fabulous white hydrangeas and a marquee reception at Kate’s parents’ farm. It’s beautiful: Kate told me they had lots of help from their families to plan and style the perfect day… and oh, didn’t they just!
The white hydrangeas make a bold statement; Kate’s bouquet is gorgeous. The images are wonderful – Samantha Jane Photography gets a glowing review from the happy couple. “We thought the photos were amazing and really told the story of the day, capturing moments that myself and my husband didn’t always get to see.” See more...
