Time once again, lovely readers, to join me in discovering one of England’s loveliest wedding venues. How Caple Court is in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside and must be one of the most magical places to explore. On your wedding day, there are more quiet corners than you could ever imagine to sneak away for romantic moments and gorgeous photographs of just the two of you: it simply looks blissful to me.

How Caple Court’s website is well worth a visit. Soar over the venue’s rooftops and explore every inch from the sky: it’s wonderful!

Choosing a photo of the week this week was super hard: so many wedding photographers have been sharing their best bits from 2015, and the internet is blindingly beautiful as a result. But one shone through for its firm grounding in time and place: the blossom shows the season, the sign indicates location, and then the backdrop and gorgeous bride and groom.

Something tells me this setting will remain for years, decades even, and maybe it’s been there for years already, changing only with the seasons.

Today’s fabulously beautiful wedding is going to be a favourite for 2016 – I can see it now. The handcrafted touches are wonderful, and I am SO impressed with gorgeous bride Laura’s lettering and wedding signs! (I’m teaching a calligraphy workshop today and seeing people learn to write like this is one of my favourite things!)

Chris and Laura planned their wedding over 2 years: “Having such a long time to plan the wedding had its pros and cons. We had time to source amazing suppliers and spend hours swooning over gorgeous weddings. However, I did get slightly overwhelmed with the sheer volume of wonderful ideas out there.”

Winter weddings are my favourites. The cosy venues, candlelight and log fires are part of what makes a winter wedding special. I adore the cooler colour palettes and classic accessories winter brides and grooms choose too: all in all, it’s a wonderful time of the year! Gemma and Marc’s Oxfordshire wedding is pure bliss for winter months and I hope you love it as much as I do!

Bursting bubbles doesn’t always feel good. But today’s article is meant for the bigwigs who exploit us all: brides and grooms, and the hardworking, passionate wedding suppliers who help turn your dreams into reality.

That sort of passion isn’t something I like to see stomped all over.

SOME of the wedding awards bodies here in the UK are a joke. One in particular – which I won’t name – has some shocking business practices which shouldn’t be kept secret. But do remember that others are as fairly run as they can be – so plenty of wedding awards are worth paying attention to.
