Happy Monday lovelies! I hope you’ve had the most wonderful weekend. Today we have so much inspiration for you – I like to kick off the week with something really stunning to inspire you, and today it’s extra special… with a lovely team of wedding creatives showing you how to make the most of an outdoor space with fabulous florals and elegant styling – without breaking the bank! Flower walls have been a huge trend, but can be ridiculously expensive. Today we share an incredibly creative alternative – look carefully at the backdrop! Lovely Vanessa, wedding planner from English Wedding Directory members Rocks & Frocks, shares her inspiration with you.
There’s something about today’s beautiful wedding which captures the essence of the English countryside so perfectly… it’s in beautiful Dorset, with a quaint church (St Marks, in Talbot Village) and a lovely reception with the prettiest details – paper fans on the wall in shades of gold, and adorable little commemorative pins for all the guests!
Camila is absolutely stunning; Victor looks gorgeous. The love these two share is captured perfectly in the images by our friends at Linus Moran Photography, who are based in Dorset, close enough to the Kings Arms Christchurch to be regular photographers there – and who come highly recommended for their beautiful documentary wedding photography as well as their professionalism and friendliness. There are so many different elements that go into the creation of your perfect wedding, and choosing where you will get married is only the beginning. As soon as the venue is confirmed, the next step is to fill it!
I couldn’t get married without live music – it’s just a very personal thing, and if you’re a music lover you will totally get what I mean. Whether you love jazz or pop, indie, swing or soul, you’ll know that the buzz of a live performance is uniquely and beautifully suited to a wedding – so imagine booking your venue, only to be told you can’t have live music… it would be heartbreaking.
Beautiful bride Polly and gorgeous groom Jon married at The Ivy Chelsea Garden – a vibrant space for a couple who are just bursting with personality. Their day is a breath of pure joy – the relaxed and intimate celebrations are all the more stunning for the spontaneous laughter that breaks out in occasional images, and I just love seeing the expressions of the entire bridal party – it’s a day which is filled with happiness, and beautifully captured by lovely Jonny Barratt Photography. Oh, and it’s totally convinced me about veils. Veils are ahmaaaaaazing…
