Hi everyone! Please tell me I’m not the only one thinking naughty festive thoughts already? I’ve been making plans for little Christmas baskets with calligraphy tags and labels – and in the process, I’ve put a new range of luggage tags in my Etsy shop for you. They’re perfect for wedding favours, being a little smaller than my usual place name cards, and have a creative little calligraphy swirl in two corners.

You can use tags in hundreds of ways at your wedding – I love glass bottles and have a habit of hanging my tags around bottles with twine, lace and other bits and pieces. You can also use them with little pegs on a cork board for your table plan, or attach them to sticks and put them in pies.

If you don’t believe me, have a look at the Pinterest board I made for you! Pinterest – ideas with tags and labels

Tom and Cher were married in North Wales – their beautiful garden wedding makes me smile so much. They made the day really personal and their photos – by wedding photographer Darren Williams – are so full of character.

You’ll love all the little touches which I think made their day so special. From Cher’s statement dress – which looks awesome on her – to the vintage world map table plan, via an awesome wedding cake with skull toppers – today’s real wedding most definitely rocks!

I’ve included a couple of little sequences of photos here as well. First to watch out for is the bridesmaids and then gorgeous Cher making their way down the steps to their outdoor ceremony. It’s such a beautiful setting and they all look fabulous. Second, and my favourite moment of all, is Tom’s reaction to the registrar saying they’re married… brilliant! What a star!

Morning everyone! Who’d like one of my sherbet strawberries? Wish I could hand them out and share with you all! I’ve been eating them on your behalf – of course! – as the guys from retro sweet shop The Gobstopper asked me to tell you about their options for wedding favours and candy buffets. They have a cool range of retro sweets along with glass jars and paper bags for your wedding favours and candy buffets.

I couldn’t resist a little photo shoot – those of you who follow me on Facebook will know I got photobombed in the process! The kilner jar from The Gobstopper is filled with sherbet strawberries and kola cubes (I ate all the rhubarb and custards, oops!) – and you get a nice amount of sweeties for your money.

It’s great that they send the jars too – so for candy buffets everything arrives ready for your wedding – no need to measure your own sweets into jars to display.

Have you read anything from The Velveteen Rabbit in the last year? Or perhaps seen a poem about two dinosaurs who fall in love? I have as well – and I imagine most couples planning weddings in the UK know just why I’m asking!

An article on the BBC News website asked the other day, “Why is a children’s book about rabbits being read at weddings?” and author Lucy Wallis shared some very insightful thoughts about kids’ books having to explain love in very simple terms.

My lovely friend and UKAWP director Bernadette Chapman was quoted in the article, saying weddings are increasingly focused on personality – meaning more creative freedom to choose quirky wedding readings. Bernadette said “children’s literature has become so popular because it’s inter-generational and everyone can relate to it“.

Hello again lovely blog readers! Did you have a weddingy weekend or stay in and snuggle away from the cold? I’ve been out exploring the Lake District and buying little goodies to use for my calligraphy and then for Christmas… I’ll show you very soon! In the meantime I have an incredibly beautiful Iscoyd Park wedding blog to share with you all today.

Iscoyd Park wedding blog Kristian Leven Photography (1)

Katie and Craig were married in June and told me their wedding was “The most joy-filled, whirlwind of a day surrounded by the people we love.” It sounds perfect, doesn’t it… and it looks even better. You’re going to love this!

Happy weekend everyone! What are you up to this weekend – weddingy bits and bobs, or a bit of time off? I’m taking my little Mini out for a road trip into the Lake District and hoping for a nice day. Claire got in touch to tell me about her beautiful English wedding to Andrew. She won my heart with her very first email:

It’s not just about seeing all of the hours of work fiddling about with lace, pearls and pva glue come together. It’s about seeing loved ones there for you on your special day. My dad’s disability meant he was only able to have pictures with me before I left to get married. Luckily, I had one of the best photographers to take a few special pictures with my dad. Funkyphotographers, I am so grateful. He was part of my day as much as everyone else. The day ran like clockwork from my brother giving me away at Orleans House Gallery, to the boat trip along the Thames through Teddington lock. Our guests welcomed our arrival at The Lensbury to carry on the celebrations.

Hello! Are there any other book lovers out there this morning? There was a very sharp intake of breath here when I first saw where beautiful bride Hannah married her husband Nick, and fellow bookworms will be as enchanted by this as I was! Yes – it’s a library wedding. Today’s real wedding comes from the Memorial Library at Malvern College. Gorgeous, inspiring and a bit of a dream come true, I have to admit!

I owe huge thanks to my lovely friends and wedding photographers Rob and Sarah Gillespie, who submitted this wedding for the blog. I do hope you love it as much as I do! But my heart is bursting even more with gratitude to Hannah and Nick for sharing their day with us all. They’ve injected such personality into their wedding day from start to finish I just wish I could have been there! Pretty much my dream wedding… so enjoy! Claire xxx

Morning everyone! How are you today? Does anyone have sunshine?! (Seriously – I have a car now, I’d consider a road trip anywhere for a little bit of sunny today hee!) I’m even wearing my gloves to type the wedding blog today – it’s that cold. But it’s lovely to have such gorgeous features to share with you that I forget the chill in my fingertips and find myself captivated by weddings instead… like today’s beautiful wedding in Cambridge.

Anstey Hall wedding

Wedding photographer Andrew Hind – lovely guy, source of some of the best wedding advice you’ll ever read, and friend of the English Wedding Blog – shared Rebecca and Alex’s Anstey Hall wedding with me yesterday. It’s just wonderful – watch out for the photo taken on Cambridge’s famous Bridge of Sighs, for the look of love on Rebecca’s face as Alex helps her from the wedding car, and for giggles, and bubbles, and so much more. The bridesmaids look fabulous in the palest pastel blue; the bouquet is timelessly elegant and these two gorgeous people are just so much in loveRead more

Jonny and Amelia make the most adorable couple! Their Dorset wedding looks beautiful; and they tell a story of a beautiful celebration filled with love and laughter. I’m over the moon to be sharing their wedding on the blog today. The overall style is country chic, with wonderful details from flowers to corn dollies. Watch out for the lovely milk churns in the wedding marquee – they’re brilliant! My favourite touch has to be Amelia’s Dad’s surprise… but you’ll have to read on to find out more!

Images are by the very lovely Tom Redman, and at the end of the blog today you’ll find Amelia and Jonny’s wedding report and list of recommended wedding suppliers. I hope you love this wonderfully sunny, warm and charming wedding as much as I do! I almost feel as though I was there… it’s just fabulous. And isn’t Amelia stunning? Enjoy! Claire xxx

Morning everyone! I have a lovely, romantic and heartwarming little tale for you today. Oh! And photographs of a gorgeous English wedding from County Durham. This is beautiful bride Lisa’s wedding – because she’d always wanted an intimate wedding. Her husband Mo wants a spectacular celebration… but we’ll come to that later!

Intimate wedding Nadine Van Biljon Photography (1)

In a nutshell, today’s bride and groom decided to have two weddings. A little one, and then a massive party a year later. What I love most is that the intimate wedding turned out to be way more than just a formality – it was just about as special as you could ever imagine.

I’ll let wedding photographer Nadine Van Bilijon explain more! This is the email she sent to me a few weeks ago:

“Next year, Mo and Lisa are planning a pretty spectacular wedding at Castello di Modanella in Tuscany with friends and family arriving for a week to celebrate together which is very much what the groom wants.
