Happy Saturday everyone! I’m off adventuring today in Edinburgh – we have a bit of a crazy weekend ahead, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have an AMAZING wedding to share with you this morning as well. First though, I have to tell you about my next calligraphy workshop. This one will be on a Saturday afternoon in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, perfect for anyone (else!) who’d like to spend a girly day hitting the shops, learning calligraphy, then dancing the night away in my fave city. The date is May 26th, and you can book places in my Etsy shop now. I’d love to see you there!
I chuckled when I first saw today’s wedding – because all the boys went for a dip in the (freeeeezing) lake in the morning EXACTLY where I’d been stood in my wellies with four alpacas, my man and my mum & dad only a few days before. Fact. This is one of the best spots to get married in the whole of the Lake District, and gorgeous Rachel and Rob were thrilled with their choice of the Lingholm Estate for their summer wedding. I love it – the details are stunning, the atmosphere is as dramatic outside as it is heartwarming inside, and the images by Fairclough Photography are out of this world. Claire xxx
So how’s your sunshine today, lovelies? I’m loving this week – it feels like SUMMER!! I can play in my garden and walk on the beach… it’s heaven. Right now I’m working on the next edition of the English Wedding Bible, which we’re publishing in May. If you’d like to be a part of it, get in touch with your ideas for shoots, articles or real weddings we can feature. Today though, we’re all about al fresco wedding dining, herbs and botanicals with a gorgeous editorial from Gaynes Park which was sent in by English Wedding Directory member, lovely Gwenda at The Gilded Fern. She’s here to tell you more!
If somebody could just randomly invite me to a wedding at The Matara Centre I would be so very happy! This place though… the water, the flowers, the atmosphere always looks sensational. Gorgeous bride Catherine looks amazing in her Victoria Jane gown (bought from Krystle Brides), which she wears with a satin edged veil and pearl accessories and Jonni is a very handsome groom in his 3 piece Ted Baker suit. Images are by fabulous Cotswolds wedding photographer Martin Dabek.
Dinachi and Onu’s wedding took place at Northbrook Park in Surrey, with the ceremony at All Saints church nearby. The wedding looks so wonderfully joyful, especially the images of stunning bride Dinachi and gorgeous groom Onu being introduced and dancing into the wedding breakfast! I can only describe today’s wedding as take-your-breath-away-beautiful. The styling and colour palette are uniquely elegant; florals and decor just divine. All this, and yet Dinachi tells me their focus was on having a relaxed and fun wedding rather than a ‘perfect’ one. It totally looks like both!
