Hey lovelies, happy weekend! (Didn’t it take a long time coming?!) I have fab news today – we’re looking forward to featuring lots of lovely wedding highlights films on the English Wedding Blog in the next few months, as the ace team from HDMoments have joined my little gang of handpicked sponsors. Yay!!!

HD Moments are a professional wedding cinematography company experienced in capturing sound, motion and most importantly emotion. They provide the most stunning cinematic wedding videography services to couples in London, West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and everywhere in between!

I asked lovely Justina to tell us a little about the story behind HD Moments: “Before HDMoments was born we owned a photography business, we had a lot of adventures and successes but eventually the idea of videography and the challenges that went with it started to appeal to us. We came to the conclusion that we wanted to tell stories in a different way… for us that was video.”

Gone are the days when magazine editors dictated trends. Yay!!! Brides and grooms sharing ideas on Facebook, Pinterest and blogs – and the thousands of real weddings we see online – now set trends for weddings. It’s the images you love, and share, and the things you actually buy, which decide what’s hot or not. Don’t let the magazine editors tell you how to style your day. I asked designers, stylists and photographers what UK brides are really choosing for their 2015 weddings – and they revealed 34 trends you’re already turning into big news for 2015!

So here are 34 REAL predictions for 2015 wedding trends, inspired by the most amazing weddings of 2014 and the designs already in demand by 2015 brides and grooms. Enjoy.

2015 wedding themes

  1. Botanical styling: flowers, leaves & illustration
Flowers are everywhere this year, and bouquets and displays with mega impact are going to be a huge trend. If I was planning a wedding in 2015 I’d start with my flowers, for sure. Then I’d find stationery to incorporate botanical flower sketches, give seeds as favours, and make sure I didn’t leave my flower crown at home!

I fall in love with an image as often as I fall for a design, a shoot or a designer. It’s not so often I tumble head over heels for all four… but today I have. I’d love to show you Wilderness Bride – a heritage inspired bridal collection with a dreamy, wild and romantic shoot.

Wilderness Bride has all of the things I love most in the world combined into one label: folklore, nature, wilderness – of course – and beautiful, romantic design.

The collection is feminine and romantic and uses blush tones in a subtle way. With a strong focus on lace, the ideas was to create a quiet, simple elegance.

There’s nothing I adore more than a vintage Vespa wedding – and Esmeri and Ross added fun to their day with his n hers vintage vehicles: a Vespa for the groom, and a campervan for the bride. LOVE! Their glamorous wedding was at Church Farm and photographed by Welsh wedding photographer Darren Williams.

Weddings are going to be ultra glamorous this year, and Es and Ross rocked fabulously glam styling with classic elegance: a Mori Lee dress, bespoke mod suit and guests in black and white. Family and friends were recruited to prepare everything from cakes to signage – as Es told me, “it is a great achievement to say that you pulled it off and created such a beautiful day with the help of your family.”

While it’s chilly outside I like to feature a little sunshine on the English Wedding Blog – today, a summer garden party wedding with paper lanterns and bunting, bright flowers and of course lots of wonderful sunshine.

Rebecca is beautiful. She wears a gown by So Sassi, and a gorgeous floral headband by Rock n Rose, which I think is amazing! Lee looks fab in a suit from Slaters, and the flowers by Wild and Wondrous are just stunning.

Siobhan is beautiful, wearing a lace dress with a delicate belt. Her accessories are fabulous – and I adore her bouquet, by Leonora Rose. The styling of the day is a highlight though – with friends and family all pitching in to help with stationery design, decorating, table arrangements and the seating plan there’s so much to see!

Happy Christmas Monday everyone! (There will be no more boringly named days this side of January, by the way!) Sitting here surrounded by fairy lights and candles made me think of all the pretty visual inspiration you can find online when planning your wedding, and I was considering how amazing – and how different – Pinterest and Instagram can be. One thing they have in common: they’re both essential tools for 2015 couples when it comes to wedding planning.

Sam and Jason were married in Kent at The Secret Garden wedding venue just outside Ashford. This is a really special little venue – the ceremony was held in the Glass House, a gorgeous sunny spot for intimate weddings with its very own views across the secret garden itself. Today’s bride Sam is simply stunning – I adore her hair ornament and those gorgeous curls, don’t you?

Today’s real wedding has a wonderful wintry theme. Sam’s bouquet of pine cones and silver ferns is perfect for this time of year, and has a delicate sparkle – essential for any winter wedding day! The reception continues in beautiful winter style with pine cone place settings for every guest – such a pretty idea.

Morning everyone! We’re about to hit what I’m calling ‘proper Christmas’, and most of you will be thinking about non-wedding stuff for a while – so with that in mind I’m sharing some wonderfully bookmarkable posts from now on. Read now if you’re feeling weddingy, or save for later if you’re rushed off your feet with Christmas prep!

glamorous winter wedding hair

Today the English Wedding Blog is all about wedding hair. I’m no expert (think of me as an expert on anything carefree and windswept!) but I know someone who is! We all know winter can trash our hair on a daily basis so here are some brilliant tips to help you avoid the wild, snowy look on your wedding day.

Getting your hair right for a winter wedding isn’t as easy as it sounds. As well as having to deal with the wintry weather and central heating, you also need to think about the thicker, more luxurious fabrics you’re likely to wear and the design of your dress.

Rustic wedding invitations are going to be huge in 2015 – I’ve seen more and more natural and outdoor weddings over the last few months and it’s a trend I love and can’t wait to see more of! It’s time to think about wedding invitations for 2015 so I’d love to show you one of my own collections today.

Today’s wedding is more than amazing – so many breathtaking images and a fabulous wedding report (with equal doses of advice, emotion and chuckles) from beautiful bride Laura.

There is a subtle map theme to the day, but overall the style is relaxed, intimate and LOTS of fun! Laura told me “It was like being in a candy-floss cloud…” and when I asked about her Naomi Neoh dress she said “I put her on (blush pink and softer than angel hair) and did not want to take her off… ever.

I’ve always loved The Belle Epoque as a wedding venue. In the early days of The English Wedding Blog I featured so many weddings there… but it’s been a little while and I’ve missed the place! It’s a quirky boutique venue with tons of character – perfectly fitting for Andrew and Laura.
