Happy New Year everyone! Warmest welcomes from me if you’re new to English Wedding – oh, and huge congratulations if you’ve got a brand new sparkly thing on your finger!!! Exciting times are ahead and I’m here to inspire you through your wedding planning journey. Come & grab a cuppa and I’ll introduce you to everyone at English Wedding. This blog is for everyone – brides and grooms alike. We focus on real weddings all around the UK and share the very best ideas, advice and photography from the wedding world. I like to think English-Wedding.com is a little different – as well as the gorgeous details, the weddings we feature have a sense of humour and authenticity to them. It’s not all about spending a fortune to create an insta-worthy day: every wedding is about your personalities, your family and friends and having the most amazing party with the happy smiling faces of the folks you love.
As we approach the end of 2018 I’m excited to discover new ideas for planning and styling beautiful weddings in the months to come. This year has been such a treat for the world of weddings, with more dark and sultry styling alongside fabulous tropical botanicals and metallic accents. Minimalism is set to be a new thing – and elopements are another trend I predict will grow even more in popularity in 2019. So I simply had to take you for a look back at another favourite ‘wedding’ from the English Wedding archives – it’s Emma & Simon’s wild and dramatic elopement on the Northern Irish coast. Their day was captured by Luke Flint Media.
Happy Saturday my lovelies! Warmest welcomes to another edition of English Wedding Lite! – it’s my name for our look back through the archives at some favourite weddings (while I bundle myself up in Christmas jumpers and drink eggnog, or something 😉 Today I have an absolute dream of a wedding to share with you – the styling is striking and beautiful, the venue is a fabulous old mill. Gorgeous grooms Martin and Paul had an autumn wedding at The West Mill Venue – and it’s just perfect. Unforgettably perfect, as the guys told me… and from the pics I couldn’t agree more. Photos are by Manchester wedding photographer Mike Plunkett, who gets a great review from the happy couple!
I do so hope you’re all having a wonderful Christmas – and if you’re back in work today I hope you’re looking forward to another lovely long weekend!! I’m going to brighten your day now with another brilliantly inspiring couple – this is Naomi and Chris, whose church wedding is such a joyous celebration I couldn’t resist sharing it again! Their photographer is Hannah K. Photography, and the venue is Alveston Pastures Farm in Warwickshire. Enjoy!
Naomi and Chris declared their love for one another at Westwood Heath Church in Coventry. Their religious ceremony was such a meaningful part of the day – but that didn’t stop this wonderful couple from leaving the church dancing down the aisle!
I’m really loving taking a look back at our favourite weddings from 2018! Today is the turn of gorgeous Dinachi and Onu, whose day is elegant, beautiful and oh-so-beautifully styled. Dinachi told me their focus on the day was on having a relaxed and fun wedding day – and their smiles throughout are proof that they nailed it! The venue is Northbrook Park in Surrey, their photographer is Marriedtomycamera.com. I LOVE this so much… I hope you do too!
