Hello beautiful 🙂 I have a little treat for you today – and a treat for me as well because this styled shoot is everything I love most. Lovely Louise from And So To Wed curated a fabulously elegant shoot at Tanfield House in Yorkshire. The ideas are divine, the images superb, the styling out of this world.

Using a colour palette of white and barely there gold, alongside soft natural foliage, textures and lace fabrics the shoot evokes feelings of timeless warm winter celebrations in luxurious surroundings, capturing the feel of a winter wedding morning and the reflective time of the bride at this truly fabulous venue.

Louise wanted to bring together small businesses in the wedding industry who hand make their items and are predominately based in the North of England. The inspiring images come from Tanfield House’s beautiful bridal suite overlooking the river.

She told me, “The venue, Tanfield House, is a new wedding venue based in the heart of Yorkshire that offers wedding couples a truly unique experience. Still a family home, couples can have the whole house to do with what they want, including the beautiful riverside gardens.

I have to show you this: a strikingly beautiful wedding dress showcase. The word spellbound was invented for European designer Valentine Avoh. She has more imagination than most. She’s inspiring and creative – and oh so worth a little trip to Brussels!) Just take a look at this.

There are a few wedding photographers whose style is so unique it’s unmistakeable. Catharine Noble Photography is one. Images are distinctly delicate, light and fresh – they have a magic I recognise instantly and yet can’t put my finger on. Catharine and James are an amazing team, and I’m over the moon to be sharing this very different – and beautiful – adventure of theirs with you.

Temperley on the English Wedding Blog by Catharine Noble Photography (11)

We went to the beautiful Agapé Bridal Boutique recently to capture their Temperley London Trunk Show! The collection was AMAZING – The divine fabrics in the finest lace, silk and chiffons and the way it drapes and hangs so perfectly! The intricate details, patterns and embellishments are exquisite and unmatched by any we have seen!

Temperley is one of our absolute favourite wedding dress designers, we love that it’s a British label and thought it would be perfect for the English Wedding blog because they too are pretty, English and full of personality!

Time for a dose of super pretty, my lovelies! Embrace your feminine sides and indulge your most floral of fancies with this divine theme from our gorgeous couple Sally and Matt. Today’s ideas are liberally stolen from their castle wedding featured on the blog last week. I love them – and I know you will too! Here’s how to get the look:

1. Fabulously feminine florals

Sally and her best girls held mixed bouquets with colours which came together beautifully: dahlias are a key floral trend for this year, and by mixing them with plenty of roses in ivory, pale and hot pink Sally’s florist Kim at the The Flower House Studio (http://www.theflowerhouse.biz/ ) created a super pretty bouquet. Use eucalyptus and allium buds for texture and finish off with a lace ribbon – these flowers will smell as divine as they look!

Top tip: Don’t be afraid to mix up your flowers. The more colours, shapes and textures – and the more creative freedom you allow your florist – the better!

So many of you are injecting colour into your weddings… and I just love bright, bold and beautiful celebrations. Modern brides are combining glamorous dresses and red lipstick with statement bouquets and striking detail – and I love this trend for statement wedding style.

Today I have something fabulous to show you: a 1920s inspired bridal shoot from one of our classic English wedding venues, with lovely Ayshea from AJG Photography.

“I love Hylands House and after capturing a wedding reception there earlier this year, I knew it would make a beautiful venue for a styled shoot.  It had to have a very rich and decadent theme to the day, to be in keeping with the rooms, and as I love Downton Abbey and The Great Gatsby I thought a fusion of English splendour and 1920’s glamour would be perfect. by Ayshea Goldberg

Today’s real wedding is divine: a sophisticated celebration with such amazing attention to detail and almost too pretty for words. Doug and Kath were married in May, at Herefordshire venue How Caple Court. Their theme was vintage lace: the colours were soft and delicate lavenders – “dried lavender was scattered over the church porch floor, which when guests walked over, emitted a wonderful fragrance”.

Kath told me, “I say to all my friends and family that the photographer is the most important thing to splurge on. It’s the only thing you can look at after the day, and will be proof of all the memories.  We are so glad we invested in Gemma.”

There is so much to share with you, I barely know where to start. Grab a cuppa and settle down to absorb all the pretty in today’s real wedding – and then read Kath’s fabulous advice at the end of the feature. This is an amazing wedding whose story begins the day before, setting up the venue with family and friends… and ends with sewing up an enthusiastic dancing rugby player’s trousers at 3am in the pub afterwards – it’s brilliant!

Saturdays are for road trips, explores, adventuring and discoveries – and so I invite you to join me once again to visit (virtually!) another fabulous English wedding venue: Studley Castle, in Warwickshire.

Rob and Sarah Gillespie – my lovely friends and blog supporters – have photographed weddings at Studley Castle before, and know it well. They shot Lori and Tom’s stunning castle wedding there this summer – images used in today’s feature are from this beautiful wedding.

“Studley Castle is a 19th century ‘country house’ which has been used for several purposes since being built, but has been a hotel and wedding venue for quite a few years now. Photographically there is much to take advantage of within the building itself and in the surrounding grounds.” ~ Rob & Sarah Gillespie

Sarah and Russell’s choice of wedding venue is awesome… I adore a venue with a personality all of its own, and Dorney Court in Windsor has enough character and history to inspire every bride and groom.

Shades of summer, blissful memories and a beautiful bride – today’s wedding is out of this world. Sally and Matt were married at Wadhurst Castle in West Sussex in September. They caught the last of our summer sunshine and have some of the loveliest images to treasure their day by.

I asked the gorgeous bride and groom to share the story of their day and they didn’t disappoint – you can read their English Wedding Blog interview at the end of today’s blog feature. Sally gives some great advice on everything from kinder eggs to harpists…

This is more than just a beautiful wedding: Sally’s advice make it a full feature of advice and tips for anyone planning a wedding. I love the idea of hiring a jukebox; it’s great to hear how amazing a harpist can be; polaroids are a genius idea; a wedding prep weekend sounds like so much fun! Hey everyone! I’m spending this afternoon nose-deep in my email inbox, catching up with all of your messages. While I’m in there, I thought I would ask for your help with something!

As we come up to Christmas and the New Year the English Wedding Blog is going to get busy with newly engaged couples looking for wedding ideas for 2016. I want to give our readers what they’re looking for: brilliant ideas from amazing suppliers; the best photography and most creative inspiration for the year to come. And I think – no, I know – you can help.

I’m looking for lovely products to show my readers: anything from stationery suites to cake designs and flowers.

I’m looking for new styled shoots which will set 2016 on fire.

I’m looking for those little gems of suppliers who are worth their weight in gold: it could be you, or a supplier you stumbled across, even a friend whose handcrafted pieces are perfect for 2016 weddings.
