What a beautiful wedding Lydia and Andrew’s was… I found myself smiling back at the gorgeous bride and groom on my screen – Lydia just looks amazing in her Naomi Neoh dress. The cake is lush; the portraits of the bride and groom are wonderful and the flowers are out of this world.

Ami, lovely photographer at Rubie Love Photography, told me, “This wedding for me had everything I love about weddings! It was at their home which is something I just love, so personal and special.

Wadhurst has the most picturesque village church for the ceremony and such beautiful light inside. Lydia made such an incredible bride – I mean, that smile!! – just wow – and that dress: the only way to describe it was the movement was like a dressage horse 🙂 The Marquee provided by Sussex Marquees was gorgeous! The incredible flowers especially the peonies which are my favourite. Most importantly Lydia and Andrew are just adorable together – I am so, so lucky to work with couples like this! So yes everything about this wedding made it perfect.

The best thing about being married? “Knowing that whatever life throws at you, you have someone who loves you by your side throughout it all.” ~ Laura

Lake District wedding with Kathryn White Photography (16)

It’s fab to see an Easter wedding at this time of year – Laura & Jonathan’s day is so full of spring, just seeing the photos makes me happy! The images are gorgeous, the details are perfect, the setting is fabulous and of course the bride and groom are stunning.

“The fact that it was Easter weekend gave a subtle theme with chocolate rabbits as favours and napkins folded into bunnies (by the clever wedding coordinator Michelle at the Rampsbeck) but without overdoing it. The whole day was very relaxed and chilled out, the sort of wedding where I felt more like a guest among Laura & Jonathan’s lovely friends & family than a vendor.

Talk about a dream wedding location… an escape from the hustle and bustle of London into beautiful Devon and to the unique charm of Cadhay House. Fiona and Tim got everything just so right, and their tipi wedding is magical.

Kristian told me, “I went to college with the Groom’s brother many years ago, and we both encouraged each other through our early phases into photography, so it meant a lot to reacquaint myself with his family and capture Tim’s wedding.  The whole day was incredibly relaxed, with a beautiful outdoor ceremony near the lake. And any couple that has their First Dance to the Baywatch theme tune is going to have a special place in my heart!

Imagine the perfect summer wedding day on a 16th century farm converted into the loveliest country guesthouse. The sound of birds singing as you wake, the glow of the sun across the grasses and greenery of acres of wildflower meadows. You can even have your ceremony outdoors at lovely Elvey Farm – our gorgeous couple Jo & Sam did just that.

Elvey Farm can help with your wedding planning – their package includes food and drink, flowers and photography or you can bring in your own suppliers if you prefer. I loved Jo and Sam’s wedding which was photographed by lovely Fiona Kelly Photography. I know Fiona would love to shoot more outdoor weddings so do get in touch if you’re booking Elvey Farm, won’t you?!

Jo told me “Elvey Farm has its own florist, a wonderful lady called Lesley Masters. I gave Lesley some rough ideas and asked for everything to appear natural like it had just been picked from the garden and she came up with the beautiful creations.

Hope we got you?! See you next April 1st, folks! Claire

….I was thrilled to read there’s a brand new way for forward-thinking UK couples to stay married. Perhaps it’s because we focus on the pretty details that wedding blogs are partly to blame for shocking divorce rates in the UK – but luckily a new marriage school has emerged in the UK, providing newlyweds with expert advice for a long lasting happy life together.

The BoShow Marriage School has been designed following the latest statistics estimate that 42% of marriages in the UK end in divorce and will offer expert advice and teach newlyweds lessons to a happy life together.

The BoShow Marriage School, run by BoShow Wedding Festival will hold its first class at the Cathedral of Tress in Milton Keynes on 1st April.

Lucy Jones, Event Co-ordinator at BoShow comments: “In the run up to our wedding festival, we wanted to provide couples with a specially crafted school that will help them embark on their journey and life together. Preparing for the big day can be a testing time for couples so the school aims to ease the pressures and help the transition into marriage.”

Romantic college courtyards steeped in history, a series of charming locations around one of England’s proudest cities, a truly beautiful bride and groom – today’s wedding is more than perfect. Elly and John had a wonderful summer wedding in the heart of Oxford, keeping the best traditions and adding their own special touches to personalise their day. I love this!

“We had a ‘first duet’ instead of a first dance (my husband on trumpet and me singing), and we were done by 8pm which meant that those who wanted to travel home could, and those who wanted to stay a little longer met with us at a river-side pub for a convivial couple of hours to reflect on an amazing day!”

Today’s real wedding is as elegant and timeless as it is fun and quirky! Kate’s Delphine Manivet dress is gorgeous, I love the length and she looks absolutely amazing. I’m also hugely impressed it had pockets… that’s very, very cool indeed! I love the photos of the couple in the greenhouse, and the light up letters, and I think the atmosphere of this amazing day comes across brilliantly in the photos.

Super friendly, easy to get on with, flexible, and captured the day perfectly! I think she even helped my dad with his last minute info gathering for speech preparations!

Yesterday we featured Verity and Tom’s intimate Chester wedding ceremony… so today I’m thrilled to be sharing the fabulous images from their wedding reception at Nunsmere Hall. The flowers are divine, Verity and her bridesmaids are beautiful and the guys look awesome too! They had a lovely blessing at a church in Tarporley, and then went onto the gorgeous Nunsmere Hall.

Wedding photographer Lucy (Clara Cooper Photography) told me, “This was one of the best weddings I shot this year, the people were wonderful, Verity & Tom were so in love, and they really did go ALL out, the flowers (just WOW), the table settings, even the absolutely stunning gifts, all engraved with a birch leaf, (Verity’s second name), the day was filled with personal touches which made it so special. The sun shone all day long, they had a live musician who was AMAZING and he played every instrument you can imagine. There were beautiful family portraits, champagne in the gardens, and a stunning wedding breakfast. Following this they partied hard into the night.”

When it comes to city chic weddings, I think Chester is one of the very best locations for its unique and charming character… and a stroll through the city is almost obligatory for your wedding album! Gorgeous Verity and Tom made the most of this super location with a 2 day wedding celebration: day 1 was an intimate ceremony and lunch with close family, and day 2 is coming up tomorrow!

I do love the idea of an intimate marriage followed by a party the day after… it sounds and looks perfect! I also love the idea of taking the pressure off the main wedding day by having a very personal ceremony first. Verity & Tom got married on a Friday at Chester registry office, followed by a lovely stroll down to the River Dee for some fun portraits with their family and friends and then lunch and drinks in the sunshine!

Day 2 – where the gorgeous couple had a blessing and a fabulous wedding party – will follow tomorrow. In the meantime please enjoy the wonderful pics of their intimate Chester wedding. They’re by Clara Cooper Photography whose beautiful photography you can discover more of here:
