Morning! Have we all had enough of sunshine yet? Oh, you’d like some more? Me too 🙂 What a lovely week it’s been. And I’m feeling sunny inside because I get to share Sarah and Mickey’s Henley wedding with you today – it’s pretty much my idea of perfect.

Sarah’s advice for other couples rings very true with me:

Enjoy it. Today is the day you get to promise to spend the rest of your life with the person you want to spend your life with. It’s going to be a good day and literally no one is going to care if there’s a typo in the order of service or the ushers don’t have matching socks!

How true!

Other highlights of today’s wedding blog include Sarah’s gorgeous Justin Alexander dress, the beautiful images from the country fields, all of the lovely details – watch out for the impressive cake! Oh, and all the personal touches from the handmade wedding sign to fairy cakes and bunting. I especially love Sarah’s recommendation for ceilidh bands… the ideal solution for shufflers and lurkers – and tons of fun too!

Hello everyone! Who’s got sunshine this afternoon? I’m going to quickly share a couple of highlights from a Warwickshire wedding with you – do click through to read more and see how beautiful bride Rachel and her groom Nick combined vintage touches with elegant English wedding styling.

Nick and Rachel got married at Bosworth Hall last year- I know I am behind with my blogs!- and time went so fast that we didn’t have time for all the shots we had planned. I offered to come back in the morning but they were happy to leave it as their day actually went. They oozed happiness and I know they have kept as happy as they were, we have kept in touch and Nick ordered a huge multi frame of their wedding photos for their first anniversary- paper.

Here’s an elegant and classical wedding blog for those of you who don’t want a ‘theme’. Haylee and Michael kept their Ansty Hall wedding simple with the beauty of the day coming from the occasion itself.

With ivory roses and little birdcage details to decorate tables, the result is a relaxed and unfussy wedding celebration. I think it’s richer for having no ‘fluff’ to detract from the romance and sincerity of getting married.

The images are by Derby wedding photographer Chris Seddon, and Haylee and Michael have been kind enough to share their best wedding moments with us as well. I think this is a wedding to browse slowly with a lovely cuppa… it’s beautiful. Enjoy. Claire x

Who proposed, and how?

Michael proposed by setting up a treasure hunt. He placed clues which led Haylee to all her friends and family till eventually it led her back home where Michael had cooked her favourite meal and lit the place with candles… He proposed over pudding 🙂
