Hello there! On this blustery afternoon I think you lovely lot deserve a little treat… so I’m pointing you in the direction of one of my favourite wedding photographers’ blogs, the wonderful Liam Smith Photography, for a bonus real wedding to delight your pretty eyes.

Katie and Tom are gorgeous: their wedding is light and summery and pretty and even prettier than that and full of the loveliest details which make it a perfect English summer wedding.

I’m going to remember July… when I look back on the English Wedding Blog features for the year I’ll be like, “oh July… that was when I shared that amazing Lakes wedding with Wainwrights and walking boots!” and quietly noted it as one of my favourite weddings of the year so far. I’ve always said weddings should be personal to you, whoever you are and whatever your crazy loves and hobbies may be! And if that’s muddy boots and cairns (Instagram friends will know it is for me!) then you’ll adore today’s wedding blog.

Some venues have incredible wow factor – and when you choose a location like Harrowden Hall for your big day you’ll know the styling touches will fall into place naturally. Today we’re talking soft, light pastels and traditional elegance for a day filled with the prettiest details.

Louise and Stephen chose their venue because they could personalise their day and really make it their own. “We were given a lot of rein with making choices and putting our stamp on it compared to other places we had seen. I had complete trust in their views and help along the way.”

Barn weddings have been the biggest trend to hit the wedding industry in the last 18 months, and I love them for their versatility. Barns can be rustic and cosy or bright, open spaces – today we have a wonderful example in the Tythe Barn at Launton in Oxfordshire.

Hayley and Alex’s wedding is pretty as can be – Hayley went for a statement dress for a princess look… and she rocks it. The day has some pretty and thoughtful touches – the flowers are super feminine and the gold accents work incredibly well!

Is anyone else growing sunflowers? Mine are on the petite side… and I’m sure they’re meant to be as big as me! #notagardener… Unlike Elizabeth’s glorious sunflowers (by lovely Natasha at Pumpkin & Pye), which set the scene for a brilliantly sunny, beautifully styled and superbly photographed real wedding on the blog today!

I have so much to show you and Elizabeth and Daniel have shared a fantastic English Wedding Blog interview full of helpful advice, tips and wonderful enthusiasm and passion – they brought a tear to my eye with this:
