Samantha and Edward’s wedding is just gorgeous. Samantha describes their style as ‘traditional country chic’ – the perfect label for a deliciously done, classic English wedding.

They married in the summer, choosing delicate pastel colours and focusing on beautiful flowers in their wedding theme. I love Samantha’s advice about ‘the little things’ – she told me it’s the people, the food and the music which matter most of all. I love her comment about her Stewart Parvin dress though: “It was amazing and I wish I could wear it all the time.” She looks incredible. (And hey, why not wear it again? I would!)

Sarah and Nick were married at Haworth Art Gallery – a fabulous location with a romantic atmosphere which needed little extra styling. Their creative talents came out to play with their marquee reception, where they enlisted friends and family to help make everything from bunting to stationery.

Today’s gorgeous bride made her own cake and many of the decorations, and everything looks amazing! Their guests commented on how personal this DIY wedding was because of all the things they thought of and made.

I particularly love the French influence in elements of the wedding design: the typefaces used on the Order of the Day; the cork decorations and the cheese wedding cake. It’s a wonderfully romantic and creative day from beginning to end, and the photographs from Pixies in the Cellar capture every detail – it’s a treat to be able to share them with you today!

Crab Manor has so much character it could pop… and what better wedding venue to get your guests talking and having a blast! There’s so much to Lauren and Bob’s Yorkshire wedding, it is definitely one of my favourite weddings this year.

Crab Manor wedding blog with Laura Calderwood Photography (19)

The gorgeous couple describe their day as ‘a little bit vintage’ – it’s elegantly done and the focus is on the beautiful ceremony and celebrations with tons of laughter and love in the air. The venue is a huge highlight but doesn’t detract from the details: Lauren wears a handmade designer dress – she loved it so much she never wanted to take it off 🙂

Accessories came from Glitzy Secrets, and this lovely creative bride sewed earrings to her shoes and added a hair comb to the belt of her dress… which looks wonderful. The flowers are simple hydrangeas – which I adore. Images are by lovely Laura Calderwood Photography (based in Yorkshire):

Isabel and John styled their Sussex wedding so beautifully – the flowers are spectacular, the locations full of English countryside charm. They married at All Saints Church in Plumpton Green, a gorgeous little church with so much character and a unique and quirky spire.

Isabel wore the prettiest dress: with a fabulous lace jacket over the top, and a striking back design, it’s ever so beautiful. She’s a stunning bride with such style: she wears her hair up, with simple pearl drop earrings and a cathedral length veil.

John and his groomsmen wear top hats and tails, every bit the English gentlemen for this very traditional wedding. The horse and carriage (Sussex Equestrian Carriages) is the perfect transport from church to home; this is very much a quintessentially English wedding and has all the most traditional elements done beautifully.

What an incredible venue choice for today’s real wedding feature – Harrogate’s Sun Pavilion – a restored historic venue reflective of the Art Deco period – perfect for a modern wedding. The glittering Sun Pavilion provides the most amazing backdrop for the gorgeous wedding of Imogen and Liam.

Wedding photographers Chris and Verity (Sansom Photography) said, “It was great to finally get the chance to shoot in the Sun Pavilion and the spectacular glass ceiling didn’t disappoint. The pavilion decking provided much needed shade and a great area for the drinks reception.”

Despite a toppling Eiffel Tower wedding cake and with very little extra venue decoration needed, Imogen and Liam created an elegant wedding with a Parisian theme in navy blue. I think it’s wonderful and I’m proud to share their day with you on the English Wedding Blog.

Somehow I missed one of the loveliest weddings I’ve seen all year – I can only apologise to you, my wonderful blog readers, for not sharing this one sooner! Jacqui and Andy are the best. Their wedding is captivating, the images out of this world, the laughter and atmosphere infectious.

This gorgeous couple married at Winkworth Farm in Wiltshire and styled their day with colourful flowers (eagle-eyed blog fans will notice I love these very, very much indeed!) and fabulous details. Jacqui is a stunning brunette with the most gorgeous eyes and as a couple these two are just made for each other.

I fell in love with Danielle and Phung’s Notley Abbey wedding as soon as I saw the images: their vibrant colours and beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony stole my heart. This was an international celebration with family travelling from all over the world. Danielle bought her stunning dress in New York, the table plan was a world map (it’s fab!) and there was a tea ceremony as well as the outdoor wedding and reception.

I adore Notley Abbey for its grounds and grandeur: truly a favourite English wedding venue. Danielle told me, “The setting was amazing, but the small touches such as the flowers, family pictures, and wooden signs added our personal touch.”

Hey everyone! I have the loveliest English wedding to share with you today – classically beautiful but with wonderful modern touches you’ll adore, I promise! Gemma and Niall had a church wedding followed by a garden reception at Niall’s parents’ Yorkshire home.

There are so many wonderful details: the flowers are a highlight, and are by the fabulous Susie at Hart Company. Gemma is stunning in a Lusan Mandongus gown, and Niall looks amazing in a Saville Row bespoke suit.
