You don’t need 100 or more people to watch him put a ring on your finger. You don’t need the stress of a wedding table plan, huge corkage fees or to spend your day in a crowd of distant cousins. All you really need is you. Intimate weddings with only a handful of guests are my favourite, and beautiful bride Liz and Richard’s day is simply perfect. Don’t you just love that Jenny Packham dress?
As the bluebells are almost out on the hillsides here in the Lakes, I thought it would be the perfect time to share this gorgeous day with you. Tristan and Kayleigh had a beautiful woodland wedding in springtime, surrounded by bluebells and incorporating them into their theme. The bride and groom are just naturally beautiful – theirs could be my perfect wedding, I think. I just love the flowers, wooden decor and raffia which bring their natural spring wedding look together.
Today’s wedding is absolutely stunning: full of vibrant flowers and filled with colour in every corner. Gorgeous bride and groom Amy & Tim love travelling, which is something they incorporated into their colourful wedding theme. The guest globe is genius; the table plan wonderful, the cake prettily perfect – and there’s so much more to this fantastic wedding, I know you’ll love it!
Images are by lovely Mark Leonard Photography, who is based in Bristol and shoots weddings across the UK and worldwide. (Truly – if you’re looking for a wedding photographer right now, look far and wide – expanding your search gives you access to some amazing talent!)
Ria and Jordan’s day is so prettily styled with the loveliest spring flowers – their barn venue is one I haven’t seen or featured on the blog before and I’ve fallen head over heels for this place – I hope you will too!
My wedding flowers were simple and pretty! I was showing my auntie one day what I was thinking of doing just in general conversation. (She is not a florist, but we all call her green fingers as gardening is her favourite hobby and she has an allotment!) She suggested I could do them myself so I asked her if she would help and luckily she did! People kept asking all day who my flowers were by! My bridesmaids had simple gypsophila which my auntie also made, I had my bouquet made by Robert in the flower station in North Chingford London. It was just perfect.
More than anything else I value true craftsmanship and style in the wedding industry. Mass-produced, bland styling touches turn me cold… but show me breathtaking style from independent designers and I fall head over heels in love. Today’s wedding inspo comes from the very best: creatives, artisans and designers whose work I truly adore.
