Jutta and Rob’s wedding in a rustic barn is relaxed, characterful and exciting. With plenty of DIY details and atmospheric photography by Barney Walters it really stands out from the crowd and I think it’s wonderful! Jutta wears a Phase Eight wedding dress, bought last minute – but she fell totally in love with it and looks stunning.

The rustic styling is lovely: a real testament to the creative talents of our British brides and grooms! Enjoy the feature 🙂

I think Diana and John are amazing and I can’t think of a better way to end the week than with this brilliant wedding. If you don’t smile along with John in the next few minutes then your heart is made out of bricks and you’re on the wrong wedding blog. (Oh but I know you’ll smile because this is the best feel-good wedding, I promise you’ll love it!)

Diana is gorgeous and wears the cutest Candy Anthony wedding dress. John is an absolute star who wears his heart on his sleeve and has the best, biggest, most adorable smile ever! Together they make a standout couple and I just love the whole spirit of their wedding day. You will too.

Last Sunday evening was pretty special here at the English Wedding Blog – I asked for help to build up my lists of weddings by UK county and region, and the response from wedding photographers was fantastic. Today’s real wedding on the blog is all the way from North Wales – Hayley and Mark had their reception at Northop Hall, and their wedding photographer Darren Williams has kindly allowed me to share their day with you all.

North Wales wedding blog by Darren Williams Photography (10)This is a beautiful wedding which I hope will inspire you. Hayley and Mark used soft yellows as an accent colour for their day, and carried the yellow theme through from the bridal bouquet and buttonholes to their orders of service and on-the-day stationery. I think yellow is a wonderful colour for a September wedding, don’t you? Enjoy!

I loved Jennifer and Paul’s Manchester wedding as soon as I saw their photos on the Foley Photography blog. They’re a gorgeous couple with a distinctive style; Jennifer wears her Jenny Packham wedding dress so beautifully and Paul looks amazing in his Savile Row suit – a treat I think every groom should have!

The happy couple chose Foley Photography to take the photographs on the day. “I had looked at the websites of many photographers and felt the photographs were all very similar and pretty uninspiring. Foley Photography stood out instantly. Their photographs have a real vintage feel and Scott captures the small details and expressions that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Scott and Amedea are married themselves and run the business together. They completely listened to what we wanted and didn’t force their ideas onto us (as is the case with some photographers!). We were absolutely thrilled with the results.http://foleyphotography.co.uk

Hollie and Tim’s wedding is adorable! I can imagine being there… so much to see, so many gorgeous little details and quirky countryside touches. They had a September wedding at Hellens Manor, a historic country home with the most magical gardens and a charming barn for wedding receptions. There are dozens of images to share with you – I love the lanterns and every little thing just looks amazing… not to mention the most gorgeous bride and handsome groom!

Hellens Manor wedding blog Amy Taylor Photography (1)

Lovely wedding photographer Amy (Amy Taylor Imaging Photography) emailed and told me “fab bride Hollie worked so hard putting together her country vintage look, right down to hand frosting all the jam jar lamps herself after collecting from friends and family all year to get enough! They are a cracking couple whose wedding day was so much fun it would be lovely to share 🙂

Good morning everyone, I hope you’re all safe and my heart goes out to those of you affected by flooding today. We had some of the worst gales here yesterday, but it’s much calmer now here on the west coast. Now – if you haven’t seen me sneak peeking this wedding on the English Wedding facebook page, where’ve you been?! I’ve struggled to hold back on sharing all the beautiful images and ideas with you.

Clare and Ian are just incredible. Their wedding is breathtaking! The rustic styling is beautiful and colourful, with gorgeous DIY touches throughout. Clare looks stunning and Ian and all the guys look great in sand coloured suits – perfect for the rustic theme. There are so many gorgeous things to watch out for, I think you should grab a cuppa and at least one biscuit and settle down to enjoy this one properly.

Kelly’s beautiful smile will brighten your morning – there’s a promise! She’s just gorgeous, and groom Anthony is her perfect match. Their wedding at Wasing Park in Berkshire is modern with a rustic twist.

Wedding at Wasing Park by Karen Flower Photography (1)

Kelly wears a wonderful dress by English designer Kate Sherford, and Anthony’s suit is a smart herringbone style from Stafford Tailoring. They used simple but very elegant white flower bouquets and decorations, and a deep teal colour for bridesmaids and table decor throughout the venue. The light in the glass ceremony room is fabulous, and the rustic converted barn where the wedding breakfast takes place is warm and welcoming.

Huge congratulations to Kelly and Anthony! I’m so proud to have you on the English Wedding Blog this morning. Thank you so much for a wonderful wedding report and for allowing me to share your beautiful wedding with everyone today. Claire x

I loved Anna and Craig’s Fawsley Hall wedding as soon as I saw it – and when they say ‘all things vintage’ they really mean it… there’s even a steam roller thrown in! Not to mention the family heirlooms as wedding decor. This is truly beautiful.

I also admire Anna and Craig’s approach to sourcing wedding suppliers. They sourced items locally and saved money that way, as well as working together with family and friends to make their own accessories for the big day. But most of all this is a beautiful wedding full of smiles and laughter, love and family. There’s mention of a giggling fit at the altar (love it!) in Anna’s wedding report which you’ll find at the end of the blog feature today.

Thank you to Kent wedding photographer Benjamin Toms for sharing the images of this beautiful Fawsley Hall wedding today. And huge congratulations to Anna and Craig! Enjoy! Claire xx

There’s a little clue in the title of today’s wedding blog for you. This is a very bright wedding, an absolutely fantastic theme and a blog post to make you grin from ear to ear in delight.

wedding blog yellow ideas photography Paul Underhill (1)

Emily and Alan are a great couple – full of fun and creativity. And while Emily is stunning in her Jasmine Couture wedding dress, Alan steals the show in a bright. yellow. suit. (There’s a photo to watch out for with a handwritten note from Emily: “I love you even though you look like a bowl of custard”! which is wonderful! Seriously though – he looks great, and everything about today’s wedding blog is brilliant. Literally!

The photos are by Dorset wedding photographer Paul Underhill, who contacted me a few weeks ago and told me that Alan had changed into the canary yellow suit partway through the wedding to surprise all the guests. What a fab idea! The yellow and blue theme continues throughout the day and I love all the details and styling of the marquee as well. The photos look amazing!
