Today’s real wedding comes a little later than planned: I’ve been excitedly waiting to share this with you after its original publication on Juno & Joy. It’s a wonderfully light and pretty wedding from Windsor, with the most delicate florals and stunning portraits… and the most gorgeous and lovely couple you could meet.

Christine and Darren are all kinds of amazing – they’ve shared some super snippets of advice along with supplier recommendations in their English Wedding Blog interview this morning. Don’t miss it – towards the end of the blog feature.

Good morning my beautiful blog readers! It’s been a heady whirl of technical wizardry here at English Wedding Blog HQ this morning… and I’m thrilled I can finally bring you today’s real Welsh wedding! James and Sarah’s day is more than beautiful. It’s full of ideas for the most amazing summer wedding flowers, and delicate DIY touches which bring the theme together with such amazing character and style.

September wedding Ebristock Boat Inn on the English Wedding Blog (23)

I adore the flowers. Sarah told me “I put complete faith in Laura and her team to deliver on the day and the end result was so beautiful! I still can’t believe how amazing they were when they only had my description to go on. I am so grateful to everyone there… I knew I wanted sunflowers and daisies and a lot of different, warm colours. I didn’t want a colour theme for the wedding to help it look more rustic and ‘oldy-worldy’. I also explained to Laura that I wanted the flowers to look like they had been ‘handpicked from an Autumn country garden’ and I think she really delivered on this.”

It’s not the formal photos that remind you how great your day was – it’s the natural fun and excitement that is so important to be documented. Amy’s ability not to miss a moment is incredible, and her energy and passion comes across in the photos. Amy is a photographic ninja and we cannot recommend her enough.” ~ by gorgeous bride Hannah

As a wedding blogger, it’s this passion for beautiful images and enthusiasm and excitement for suppliers which make me sit up and listen. Hannah emailed me to tell me about her wedding to George, and from the moment I saw the first photos of their day I was hooked. Not only are they a stunning couple: they have the most wonderful recommendations and advice to share with you. Today’s Kent wedding is one of the loveliest I’ve seen and I cannot wait to show you all of the beautiful photographs!

Shades of summer, blissful memories and a beautiful bride – today’s wedding is out of this world. Sally and Matt were married at Wadhurst Castle in West Sussex in September. They caught the last of our summer sunshine and have some of the loveliest images to treasure their day by.

I asked the gorgeous bride and groom to share the story of their day and they didn’t disappoint – you can read their English Wedding Blog interview at the end of today’s blog feature. Sally gives some great advice on everything from kinder eggs to harpists…

I love the idea of hiring a jukebox; it’s great to hear how amazing a harpist can be; polaroids are a genius idea; a wedding prep weekend sounds like so much fun! Louisa and David describe their day as a “simple, traditional country wedding” – and for me, it’s the perfect celebration. They told me their images (by Somerset photographer Michael Riley) “captured the atmosphere, the emotion and the look of the whole wedding perfectly.”

George Inn wedding in Somerset by Michael Riley Photography (33)

The day was held at a 14th century coaching inn, the wonderful and charming George Inn, which needed very little decoration. Louisa worked with David’s Mum to arrange the flowers for the day, and made some rustic bunting which complemented their stationery (from Paperchase) and tied the theme of the day together.

Trust in your own personal style, and I promise your wedding will come together and look amazing on the day. Laura and Arash did – they chose accessories and decor they liked rather than concentrating on a particular theme for their Bristol wedding, and the result is wonderfully chic, elegant and understated.

Kings Weston House English Wedding Blog, images by Kevin Belson (44)

This is bliss. A modern wedding with a focus on family and “having a really good party” – oh boy, didn’t they just! Suppliers were found online and through personal recommendations, and money was saved by skipping chair covers and favours on the day.

Laura is gorgeous; Arash is super handsome. Together they’re a knockout couple with the best modern style and the loveliest of outlooks on life! Laura told me they still talk about the wedding and have the best memories. “We just enjoyed having a big celebration with all of our friends and family.”

I had no idea you could get married in a treehouse in the north of England… in fact this is the most exciting thing I’ve discovered in years! I’ve always said I’d have a treehouse wedding. Lyndsey and Dean’s wedding is incredible: it’s creative, unique and super cool all rolled up into one bark-covered bundle – and I LOVE it!

treehouse wedding Northumberland UK with Duncan McCall Photography (20)

The gorgeous bride and groom (because aren’t they just stunning?!) found their suppliers online, by word of mouth, and on Don’t Tell The Bride! They made little personal touches inspired by the treehouse styling which they used on the tables, but this is a venue which needs little help or customisation… because you’ll instantly be transformed back to your 7 year old self with its awesome wow factor!

Lyndsey and Dean chose Duncan McCall as their wedding photographer. He’s really captured the imagination and character of their day – I have LOVED putting this wedding blog together for you today, I can’t tell you! 🙂 Duncan is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and photographs weddings all over the UK and abroad – you can find out more about him here:

There’s a wonderful story behind every wedding, and you really mustn’t miss today’s! Samantha and Jamie are not only gorgeous – like, ridiculously stunning, the pair of them! – but they have shared some lovely pearls of wisdom in their English Wedding Blog interview. What a super couple… you’ll love them!

A real wedding at Eridge Park with Steve Fuller Photography (13)

For example, Samantha did an hour of yoga on the morning of her wedding. What a wonderful way to relax! Every guest had a personal, handwritten message on the day, and there were no expensive wedding favours. The advice from today’s bride is priceless: “Spend on the memorable and impactful elements and cut back on those that seem important during the planning stages but on the day are quickly forgotten.

Images are by documentary wedding photographer Steve Fuller, who is based in Kent. Steve told me Eridge Park was a wonderful wedding venue with breathtaking views of the Kent countryside – it’s a private home with space for a garden marquee which meant Samantha and Jamie had the perfect blank canvas to style their day as well as incredible grounds and landscapes to enjoy!

I love a creative bride and groom, I really really do! Jenny and Louie are the best of blog stars today with a fabulously creative wedding from Ufton Court Barn.

I love today’s wedding for its simple, understated elegance… that looks a million dollars and more. Davide and Emma were married in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside on a glorious sunny day and their wedding is more than perfect. Emma is the most graceful bride; Davide her perfect match. Their celebrations took place at their family home, under fabulous canvas… just look at the wonderful wedding teepees!!

I love a wedding with a sense of humour, and Louise and Steve mix giggles (Cagney & Lacey?!) with gorgeousness (Louise & Steve!) beautifully. Their vintage emergency services wedding in Kent has the best transport I’ve seen yet: a 1960s police car and vintage red ambulance – the perfect way for a policeman and his paramedic bride to travel in style to their wedding!

A vintage wedding in Kent with handfasting and police theme, images by Sarah Wayte Photography (19)

There’s so much from today’s wedding I think is amazing… The handfasting ceremony (and that Louise and Steve kept the besom on display in their home for good luck); the lovely flowers, Louise’s sign for her Dad as they approached the aisle… and everything from the wonderful moments to the tiniest details was captured beautifully by Sarah Wayte Photography.

Louise told me they planned their budget carefully with a spreadsheet, and it paid off: “It was so satisfying paying the last supplier, we felt we could sit back and finally wait for the big day to arrive.” Together with their daughter Imogene they collected and crafted all of the lovely little details to pull together their wedding style, and the end result is just lovely!
