Hello everyone! Are you sitting comfortably? I’ve been looking forward to showing you the photos of Laura and Peter’s very pretty vintage wedding from May. There are plenty of special touches and ideas which I know you’ll love, and I think Laura and Peter’s wedding report is pretty inspiring as well. pretty vintage wedding by Linus Moran Photography (1)

Best bits for me, in a nutshell, are the gorgeous bride and handsome groom (of course!) and the pretty details – lovely flowers and dinky jam jars with cute labels. I also love the pictures of the game of football in evening sunlight. (Top tip for ushers: take a ball or two to the wedding just in case!) And I would love to hear your comments for Laura and Peter at the end of today’s feature. What do you make of their choreographed dance? The guests who were stood on chairs and tables watching seem to love it!pretty vintage wedding by Linus Moran Photography (2)

Huge thanks to lovely Linus Moran Photography for the images. Please scroll down to see recommended wedding suppliers and read all about today’s pretty vintage wedding on the blog – I love it and I hope you will too! Claire x

Hi again lovely people! I have a treat in store for you all this morning – a 1950s inspired Cambridgeshire wedding with VW Campervan, wildflowers, cupcakes and 7 tiers of cheese, awesome dance moves and the proudest dad… you’re going to love this!

Vintage Cambridgeshire wedding blog Paul Rogers Photography (1)

Kirsten and Neal were inspired to create a vintage wedding with pale pink and blue details. Kirsten’s ankle length Ian Stuart gown (is there nothing this man can’t do to perfection, I ask you?!) is divine! And Neal looks pretty damn good in his tailor made suit by A Suit That Fits – let’s just say the pair of them are amazing together!

Vintage Cambridgeshire wedding blog Paul Rogers Photography (2)

The wedding was at Madingley Hall, just four miles from the centre of Cambridge and a magnificent venue – Wikipedia tells me it’s a former royal residence and dates back to the 16th century – the photographs are fabulous and will show you so much more of this impressive English wedding venue. Huge thanks go to London wedding photographer Paul Rogers for submitting such a brilliant wedding to share with us all today! I hope you love it as much as I do. Everyone – enjoy. Claire x

Morning everyone! Are you having a lovely morning so far? I just love today’s wedding – however your day is going, this will put a smile on your face. Melissa and Richard had a handmade / vintage wedding at Hodsock Priory and it is simply gorgeous!

Melissa looks amazing in her Benjamin Roberts dress, Richard is rocking a suit from Next (only about a million miles better than Moss Bros, by the way!) and special credit goes to Melissa’s mum for all the handmade touches from bunting to fabric hearts and pocket squares – she even crafted the wedding invitations!

Little details include gourmet popcorn (I can almost taste it! And as I type it’s barely past breakfast time… not a good sign!), lovebirds on the cake and gorgeous gypsophila – my favourite. Huge thanks to Tierney Photography for the beautiful images – watch out for the portrait shots with snowflakes and stunning images of Hodsock Priory. Congratulations Melissa and Richard, and to every one of you lovely readers – enjoy! Claire xxx

It tickles me that today’s fab couple Sam and Hannah used Midsomer Murders as inspiration for their wedding in Norfolk. I love that little step further from vintage they’ve taken to create a beautifully styled and very English wedding. It really fires my imagination as well… how many TV-themed weddings can you imagine? Poirot? Blue Peter? I think it’s a great idea!

Norfolk wedding blog by Lifeline Photography (1)

Lenwade House was the setting for what turned out to be a wonderful wedding day with lovely styling and some beautiful moments. Both bride and groom look gorgeous and I know you’ll adore today’s real wedding on the blog. Thanks to Lifeline Photography – the very amazing Hannah Webster – for sharing images with us all today. (You absolutely have to check out lifelinephotography.co.uk where you’ll see Hannah change into a peacock!)

There are tons of ideas in today’s real wedding for you to take home and use as inspiration for your own wedding. Looking for a John Cleese impersonator? (Of course you were!) You’ll find him in the list of recommended wedding suppliers Hannah and Sam have included in their wedding report at the end of the blog! Enjoy. Claire xxx

Hello everyone! Who’s got sunshine this afternoon? I’m going to quickly share a couple of highlights from a Warwickshire wedding with you – do click through to read more and see how beautiful bride Rachel and her groom Nick combined vintage touches with elegant English wedding styling.

by Alix Marina-Chouhan, Lumiere Photography

Nick and Rachel got married at Bosworth Hall last year- I know I am behind with my blogs!- and time went so fast that we didn’t have time for all the shots we had planned. I offered to come back in the morning but they were happy to leave it as their day actually went. They oozed happiness and I know they have kept as happy as they were, we have kept in touch and Nick ordered a huge multi frame of their wedding photos for their first anniversary- paper.

Here are a few photos. To see more go to http://www.lumiere-photography.co.uk/weddings/bosworth-hall-wedding/

Hi everyone! I hope you’re not working too hard this lovely morning 😉 as I have a gorgeous 1950s Hollywood wedding to share which will stop you in your tracks. It’s funny when wedding photographers get in touch with a submission for me, as they usually email and very politely ask if I’d like to feature a real wedding on the blog. Little do they know that behind the scenes here I’m jumping in the air and shouting “Oh My God yes PLEASE!” – as was the case when I first saw Emma and Alex’s big day in my inbox. Thank you oh so much Darren Williams Photography!

My reply to Darren’s email says it all: “Within a second of clicking on your link it was a yes from me! What an amazing wedding 🙂 That first image had me smiling so much… there’s so much more to love too: the venue, the little dance in the doorway of the Ashton Memorial! Just wonderful!

This is my wedding of the week without a doubt – simply divine with a beautiful bride and handsome groom, delicious photography and a wonderful wedding report. Grab a coffee and prepare to enjoy a very, very special real wedding blog this morning…

wedding blog Chris Hanley Photography (1)Kate and Adam began their relationship as ‘book buddies’ (which is the loveliest story of all!) and after a long engagement began planning their wedding around a vintage literary theme. With a Penguin invitation, piles of books, a vintage typewriter and more gorgeous styling ideas they turned the Grange Hotel into a book lovers’ dream for their wedding day.

wedding blog Chris Hanley Photography (2)The photography is by top UK wedding photographer the very lovely Chris Hanley. His website is http://chrishanleyphotography.com and his blog is (to fit with today’s wedding blog theme!) – recommended reading!

I loved Anna and Craig’s Fawsley Hall wedding as soon as I saw it – and when they say ‘all things vintage’ they really mean it… there’s even a steam roller thrown in! Not to mention the family heirlooms as wedding decor. This is truly beautiful.

Photo credit Benjamin Toms Fawsley Hall wedding blog (1)

I also admire Anna and Craig’s approach to sourcing wedding suppliers. They sourced items locally and saved money that way, as well as working together with family and friends to make their own accessories for the big day. But most of all this is a beautiful wedding full of smiles and laughter, love and family. There’s mention of a giggling fit at the altar (love it!) in Anna’s wedding report which you’ll find at the end of the blog feature today.

Thank you to Kent wedding photographer Benjamin Toms for sharing the images of this beautiful Fawsley Hall wedding today. And huge congratulations to Anna and Craig! Enjoy! Claire xx

Phil and Clare’s UK wedding is beautiful and lovely and makes the most of personal touches for wedding guests. I know you’ll love today’s bride and groom (and of course adorable little Alfie!) – and I think you’ll take some of their ideas away with you too!

Mixing the best of vintage elegance with more modern elements, Clare describes their wedding style as being “all about lace, soft pink colourings, roses, hearts and crystals. Everything encaptured one or more of these details.

Hello everyone! Did you have an amazing weekend? I hope so 🙂 I’ve been mountaineering… we managed to find a nice little mountain to conquer so it’s nice to sit down and rest my legs today! I’m sharing a lovely vintage wedding blog today – Kate and Mike were married near Anglesey and had a traditional, vintage-inspired day with their friends and family.

vintage wedding photography Martin Lyons (1)

This gorgeous couple didn’t entirely follow tradition: they had no wedding readings and chose not to spend a night apart before the wedding – which seems an outdated tradition to me anyway! Kate wore a stunning lace wedding dress and the venue decoration was kept simple and elegant with pastel pinks and lace.

Thank you to my friend and north Wales wedding photographer Martin Lyons for the lovely images, and huge congratulations to Kate and Mike! They’ve shared their wedding report and advice for you all at the end of today’s wedding blog. Enjoy! Claire x
