Hey lovelies! How is all of your wedding planning going? Have you discovered Pinterest yet? One of my New Year resolutions was to pin more… I’m not sure I’m keeping up with my ambitions but I do so love Pinterest when I find time to visit – come & follow the English Wedding Blog’s boards here. And do, if you have a sec, pin some ideas from today’s fabulously creative wedding!! Nikki and Dan’s wedding is fab for its stationery which runs through the day and makes a real feature. I love the chalkboard table names, table plan and menus – the stationery (from Norma & Dorothy) ties the whole day together in such a lovely way!
Greenery is where it’s at for 2017 weddings. Foliage and textures for a wonderfully organic look make my heart sing. So Phoebe and Wayne’s DIY wedding is perfect to share on the English Wedding Blog, with all its greenery and homemade touches. This gorgeous couple’s day is full of ideas so I am thrilled to be sharing it with you today!
We chose our venue because of its gorgeous setting in the heart of the south downs. We kept the styling very simple, keeping the focus on the lovely surroundings. We hung white lanterns but not much else. Everything that we could have made ourselves, we did. My husband even made our cake table from an old cable reel. I definitely enjoyed it, I hope he did!
Gorgeous bride Natalie and her husband Raja were married in the Houses of Parliament in June, their reception was in the gardens of the historic and very romantic Chiswick House. This is a very stylish city wedding that had big wows. Natalie walked down the aisle to the chimes of Big Ben turning 12pm, totally magical. They beat the usual bus tours and had all the guests hop on a boat which went down the River Thames past all the big sights of London then on to the reception.
Toby and Sarah’s wedding is wonderful. Their ceremony took place in one of the most beautifully lit rooms I’ve ever seen – the Oxford Oratory. Seeing their day really makes me think about the importance of wedding vows, of promising your love to one another for eternity – and so I’ve included many more of the fabulous ceremony shots than I usually would in a blog feature.
Bryony and Josh are pretty much the sweetest couple ever. Their summer wedding at Brunel Manor is styled with a delicate pastel touch – I adore the table plan and cake decoration, and Oh, those flowers…
The beautiful bride wears a gorgeous dress and veil from The White Boutique. Teamed with a breathtaking bouquet of roses, lavender, freesias, delphiniums and eucalyptus, it looks wonderful.
