Morning everyone! How are you? It’s been an amazing weekend for me – we were looking down from the mountains onto Britain’s (official!) favourite view on Saturday, and I could see my house in the distance. Reminds me how lucky I am! I hope you had a brilliant weekend too. I thought we’d start this week with a gorgeous wedding at Hill Place in rural Hampshire. Hannah and Ben are simply the best couple – and their wedding photos tell the story of an incredible day. You’ll love this!

Spotted the surprise mystery guest yet? I squealed – genuinely. It’s Herbie!!! Like, Herbie The Love Bug! More of a legend than Spiderman, Jesus and Daniel Craig all rolled into one. Oh, Herbie. (For anyone feeling bewildered right now, here’s a proper introduction to one of my childhood heroes!)

Morning lovelies! Marcia and James’s wedding took my breath away when I first saw it. Beautiful styling, timeless grace and a venue with all the grandeur of the finest English stately home… a gorgeous Wiltshire wedding and a fabulous introduction to Trafalgar Park.

Watch out for some stunning portraits of the bride and groom towards the end of today’s feature! I’d like to say a huge thank you to Emma and Ian from Big Bouquet, and of course my warmest congratulations to today’s stunning bride and groom, the lovely Marcia and James!

Everyone – enjoy! Claire xxx

Today is a day of little discoveries for you! I hope you’ll love this real wedding as much as I do – meet Claire and Rob, today’s gorgeous bride and groom. Their wedding in Leicestershire is full of vintage, floral touches and homemade decor – it’s really creative and right up my street!

wedding in Leicestershire Nine Photots (1) It’s the first time I’ve featured Halstead House on the blog as well, and what a lovely venue – I love Claire’s comments about how proud she felt seeing the venue transformed with all their creative touches. Another new discovery is Joanne from Nine Photos, who is also featuring on the English Wedding Blog for the very first time today! Do read the wedding report at the end of the feature – it’s both inspiring and touching. You’ll love it.

Happy weekend everybody! I hope you have a lovely day planned – I do… I’m going to a wedding this afternoon and can’t wait! To make today even more exciting I have one of the loveliest weddings I’ve seen to share with you all today. I’ve been waiting to share this one and I know you’ll love it too! It’s all about bright and fabulous colours, and beautiful design. About time we had another sunflowers wedding blog as well, isn’t it?!

sunflowers wedding blog Nick Walker Photography (1)

The very lovely Kate got in touch with me a few weeks back to tell me about her wedding day. She told me, “We got married on 29th June and having read your blog everyday in the run up I would really like to feature on your site… We got married at iconic, art deco hotel The Midland in Morecambe and made the day as personal as possible.” I also got to have a peek at Kate and John’s wedding website – a key part of their day, which I think is fab! and when John’s wedding reading brought tears to my eyes I knew I had to share their sunsets and sunflowers wedding blog with you all.

Felicity and Matthew’s wedding is right up my street. It’s personal and intimate, stylish and full of smiles and laughter. And what could be more impressive than a real English castle wedding blog? I love this!

English castle wedding Alexis Jaworski (1)At first Matthew and Felicity only laughingly considered a castle wedding, and were delighted when they realised Old Wardour Castle was an affordable option – a fourteenth century, Grade 1 listed building where they could hold their wedding ceremony. It’s stunning – a unique venue with an impressive history (although the wiki fact which sticks in my mind is that it was in Robin Hood – Prince of Thieves. Shoot me now).

English castle wedding Alexis Jaworski (2)

Felicity is amazing – I love her short hair and she’s one of the most beautiful brides I’ve ever seen wearing a David Fielden wedding dress. Matthew is her perfect partner, and looks gorgeous in his suit from Reiss. Do read their wedding report (below) for all the details and wedding suppliers from this Old Wardour Castle wedding, and also check out wedding photographer Alexis Jaworski. He supplied all of the images from this fab day – thanks Alexis!

I loved Mark and Sarah’s wedding when I first saw the photos on my friend and sponsor Martin Price’s wedding photography blog. I asked if I could share them with you, and he said yes! What’s more, Sarah has written an amazing wedding report to share with you (at the end of the blog feature) which is full of ideas and recommendations.

wedding in Beaconsfield photographer Martin Price (1) Today’s lovely couple were married in Buckinghamshire. Their wedding in Beaconsfield is traditional and charming with some very personal touches – the personalised board for the cake is fab, and I love the bubbles they had for the wedding reception. Oh! And don’t miss Sarah’s explanation of table names… cities the engagement ring travelled to in Mark’s pocket before he got around to proposing! I love that story 🙂

Thanks also to lovely Martin – aka Martin Price Photography – for sending all the lovely images. Everyone – enjoy! Claire xxx

Hi everyone! How are you today? I’m on my fourth coffee having just discovered the genius trick of mixing hot chocolate powder in with it. Just gorgeous, try it!! …but not as gorgeous as today’s real wedding blog and fab couple Lisa and Kieran. They married at Dorset’s finest wedding venue (imho) Athelhampton House. It’s a 15th century manor with tons of character and the perfect choice for a traditional English wedding with a dash of vintage.

real wedding blog by Ben Pipe Photography (1)

All the photos are by lovely wedding photographer Ben Pipe, with the exception of the three photos of Lisa’s handmade wedding invitation, table plan and alternative guest book. (What should I be calling a guest book which isn’t a guest book?! I’ve no idea!) She told me they were a labour of love and the invitations alone took more than 30 hours… but worth every second 🙂

Congratulations Lisa and Kieran, and thank you so much for being utterly fabulous and sharing your wedding day on the English Wedding Blog. Thanks to Ben Pipe too for the lovely wedding photos. Everyone – enjoy! Claire x

I’m just trying to remember who was the last celebrity to feature on the English Wedding Blog. There haven’t been many, safe to say! Eric Morecambe in today’s seaside wedding is quite possibly the coolest – see what you think: we’ve had David Mitchell (from Mitchell & Webb), the ex lead singer from 70s punk band The Stranglers, and Kirstie Allsopp. That’s probably about it.

seaside wedding blog Jonathan Bean (1)

(David Mitchell was a wedding guest on a blog feature last year. The Stranglers’ singer wasn’t in any photos, and Kirstie Allsopp just wrote a book my calligraphy was in. So yeah, I’m stretching the truth here! Oh – did I mention Eric Morecambe appears here in statue form? Hehe.)

seaside wedding blog Jonathan Bean (2)

To be honest I’m not into celeb culture – I don’t read magazines very often and I’m rarely aware of anything Kim Kardashian does. I don’t think I’m missing anything! The glamorous couples I’d rather read about are the brides and grooms who appear on the English Wedding Blog – like today’s star couple Charlotte and Phil. They were married at Morecambe’s fabulous Midland Hotel, an internationally renowned art deco wedding venue. Their seaside wedding has oodles of personality and style – you’re going to love it!

What a fantastic quote from today’s gorgeous bride Katie! I love it. Vintage, countryside and rustic weddings are definitely the biggest trend I’m seeing from all of your real weddings right now. But Matt and Katie went all out with their theme and style and created a really amazing tipi wedding day. “As country bumpkin as possible”? It’s how I’m living my life for the whole of 2013… so this is right up my street!

Oxfordshire tipi wedding images by Barrie Downie (1)

The styling and general decor all looks fantastic. Katie and Matt have made it look easy – and the wedding tents are lovely and welcoming, pretty and full of special touches which make their tipi wedding a very personal one.

Congratulations and big thank yous to an amazing couple. Matt, Katie – your wedding report is fab. Your photos are brilliant. You look beautiful (yes, both of you!) and like a match made in heaven. Thanks ever so much for sharing your wedding on the English Wedding Blog today! With special thanks as well to wedding photographer Barrie Downie for sharing his lovely images of today’s tipi wedding blog too. Everyone – enjoy! Claire xxx

I’ve just been out for a little walk down to the beach and been mobbed by butterflies! Dozens of them wherever I looked – what an amazing thing! Anyway – I made it back alive so I can share Stephanie and Michael’s Rushton Hall wedding with you. The phrase “best man bingo” tickles me, as is the thought of the heckling table! I also love their idea of giving away goodie bags with crisps and chocolate at the end of the night instead of wedding favours – genius.

Thanks to wedding photographer Aaron Collett for sharing today’s gorgeous wedding pictures on the blog. Morning everyone! What a week it’s been – do you have lovely plans for the weekend? I hope so 🙂 I’m happy to be sharing a really wonderful wedding on the blog today and I hope you’ll love it. Claire and Damon were married in Surrey – their wedding at Wotton House made the most of an elegant and classical 17th century English country home. The images show a perfect wedding day, and bride Claire is breathtakingly beautiful.

I’d love to begin today’s wedding blog with a quote from beautiful bride Izabel. She told me, “The day was beautiful and everything that we wanted it to be. It was a reflection of us to the letter.

very personal wedding blog UK Tony Gameiro (1)

My years as a top UK wedding blogger have shown me over and over and over again that the very best thing a wedding can have is personality. And Izabel and Shane wove their own journey as a couple into their wedding in beautiful and touching ways: “Glass bottle coke and humous, our go to nibbles and drinks in the early days of our getting together. Coffee and ice cream, the two things we walked across London for as we started dating. East London and the Regent’s Canal, our home and the place we began. We really wanted the day to show my Filipino and Dutch heritage as well as Shane’s Irish and Welsh background. Everyone thought we chose our wedding colours, green, orange, grey because of the Irish and Dutch, but that only occurred to us later in the planning process. All aspects of the day just had meaning to us and our story and our family and guest really got the day and our story.”
