Hello there lovely blog readers and I hope your Monday is going nicely so far. I have a truly beautiful wedding to begin this week with. Abi and Mikael chose to have their wedding outside, this time last year. They married in the charming village of Duncton, West Sussex, with an outdoor ceremony in the grounds of Duncton Village Hall.

UK outdoor wedding Sussex Paul Fletcher (1)

Wedding photographer Paul Fletcher very kindly shared his images of the wedding with me for the English Wedding Blog. You can read his full wedding blog post with images here.

Abi and Mikael have written a great wedding report and reviewed some of their favourite wedding suppliers for you. I love their advice… particularly the bits about the dancing swan, the importance of hiring a good photographer, and remembering to eat the food!

I’ll hand over to today’s beautiful bride and gorgeous groom to tell you more about their outdoor wedding. Huge congratulations to Abi and Mikael, and thank you for being on the English Wedding Blog! All images are by Paul Fletcher Photography.

Today’s real wedding blog is from the very beautiful Lydia and her handsome groom Lloyd at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts. I fell for their wedding style as soon as I saw the first images of their day. They kept things simple and classy with chic and contemporary flowers, beautiful lace, candles and pretty accessories.

UK London wedding blog images by Amanda Balmain (1)

Wedding photographer Amanda Balmain describes the ICA as having “gorgeous high ceilings, huge windows and elegant white interiors it is a beautiful setting for a romantic, stylish wedding“. It’s a new venue for me as a wedding blogger but looks really lovely. Lydia and Lloyd were impressed as well, and used the venue’s recommended suppliers who they were very pleased with.

Before I share all the images I want to introduce today’s wedding blog with a quote from Lydia which brought tears to my eyes. Talking about the wedding ceremony, she says, “it was as if the world around us did not exist anymore, it was only HIM and ME. Only when we kissed and everybody started clapping did we realize we weren’t alone at all, and everyone who was important to us, close family and friends, were with us.

I think Wiz and Jeremy are amazing! I’d love to be called Wiz for starters (it’s short for Elizabeth but way cooler) and this fab couple have such a brilliant sense of style. Having looked through their wedding photos several times already this afternoon, I’m totally hooked and loving everything about their wedding! You will too…

garden wedding Kristian Leven Photography UK (1)

Jeremy is one of the coolest grooms I’ve seen this year in his tailor made suit by Cad and the Dandy, London. Wiz is just beautiful from head to toe with her wonderful beaded hair accessory which complements her Jenny Packham wedding dress like a dream. Her red patent leather shoes are fab – and both bride and groom wear the most infectious smiles! This is bliss. You’ll love it!

Congratulations to Jeremy and Wiz, and thanks for being so fantastic, for sharing your wedding report and for featuring on the English Wedding Blog today. Huge thanks also to wedding photographer Kristian Leven for submitting the images of today’s wedding blog. It’s ace! Everyone – enjoy! Claire xxx

When I read Vicky’s wedding report and saw all her lovely craft ideas I knew I had to feature her wedding to Ross on the blog. It’s just perfect – a very personal wedding day with lots of amazing ideas you can share. I love Vicky and Ross’s style – they describe their wedding as handmade vintage / romantic and the day itself looks fantastic.

Phil and Clare’s UK wedding is beautiful and lovely and makes the most of personal touches for wedding guests. I know you’ll love today’s bride and groom (and of course adorable little Alfie!) – and I think you’ll take some of their ideas away with you too!

Mixing the best of vintage elegance with more modern elements, Clare describes their wedding style as being “all about lace, soft pink colourings, roses, hearts and crystals. Everything encaptured one or more of these details.

Happy Monday everyone! Have you had a lovely weekend? It’s a short week for me this week as I’m off adventuring in a few days’ time, so I’m launching straight into the week with an amazing wedding blog from Charlotte and Craig.

Christian Ward Photography UK real wedding blog Yorkshire (1)

This is one of those times where the pictures paint a thousand words – it’s a breathtakingly beautiful marquee wedding which simply has everything you could dream of! Charlotte is stunning; Craig is ever so handsome; the dress is divine, and there are lots of gorgeous ideas to take away with you.

Christian Ward Photography UK real wedding blog Yorkshire (2)

All of today’s fabulous wedding blog photographs are by the very lovely Christian and Erica from Christian Ward Photography, and Charlotte and Craig have kindly written their wedding report to share with you as well. It’s full of inspiration and ideas as well as great advice – I’m especially impressed with the ladies VIP area… read all about that from about halfway down today’s blog post!

Another fantastic wedding on the blog today – Erin and Russell are the most amazing couple and I think you’ll love their rustic wedding from Northampton. I love the story of how they met (fate across a distance of 3,000 miles!) and the wonderful focus on family and everyone’s enjoyment of their wedding day.

Do read their wedding report which begins halfway down the blog feature today – there is so much to share with you! Look out for tips on wedding invitations for guests from overseas as well as for English wedding guests, and enjoy the images too! They’re by Northamptonshire wedding photographer Aaron Collett.

Hello everyone! Did you have an amazing weekend? I hope so 🙂 I’ve been mountaineering… we managed to find a nice little mountain to conquer so it’s nice to sit down and rest my legs today! I’m sharing a lovely vintage wedding blog today – Kate and Mike were married near Anglesey and had a traditional, vintage-inspired day with their friends and family.

vintage wedding photography Martin Lyons (1)

This gorgeous couple didn’t entirely follow tradition: they had no wedding readings and chose not to spend a night apart before the wedding – which seems an outdated tradition to me anyway! Kate wore a stunning lace wedding dress and the venue decoration was kept simple and elegant with pastel pinks and lace.

Thank you to my friend and north Wales wedding photographer Martin Lyons for the lovely images, and huge congratulations to Kate and Mike! They’ve shared their wedding report and advice for you all at the end of today’s wedding blog. Enjoy! Claire x

Hello lovelies! I hope you’re having a nice week – anything exciting planned for the weekend, anyone? I’m feeling ever so loved-up this morning as Jayne and Steven’s English Wedding Blog report is just wonderful. So rather than me wittering on, I’m going to share a quote from today’s beautiful bride Jayne to introduce today’s real wedding on the blog:

Enjoy every minute of your wedding day. Because once you get to that point, none of the planning etc. matters, just the day when you get married to your best friend and sharing it with those nearest and dearest to you. Remember the feeling of the whole day, the nerves, the joy, the laughter. Hold on to the moments when it is just the two of you, but also soak up the feeling of being surrounded by all the people you love the most in the same room there to celebrate your love. It’s pretty darn amazing – you won’t remember everything, it will fly by and you will want to relive it over and over – but that is what the photos and videos are for. Life will return to a form of normality afterwards, but if you hold on to that feeling, it will forever make you smile.

Hello everyone! I hope you’ve had an amazing week. It’s been busy here – I promise I’ll show you some of the wedding calligraphy I’ve been working on, as soon as I can upload the images… I even missed a day on English Wedding Blog last week as I was writing so much! (whistles… did anyone notice it went quiet last Thursday?! Oops!)

Bristol wedding by Joseph Hall Photography (1)

Anyway, it’s been a brilliant couple of weeks for wedding submissions and one I loved most was from the very lovely Joseph Hall. I know you’ll love Simon and Gemma’s Bristol wedding – it’s simple and elegant and the images are wonderful. They’ll make you smile too: I don’t often say this, but watch out for the gorilla!

Simon and Gemma shared their wedding report at the end of today’s feature so do have a read, and leave a comment if you can! Congratulations to a bride and groom who are both gorgeous and generous for sharing their big day on the blog, and my thanks to wedding photographer Joseph Hall for the submission. Enjoy! Claire xxx

After pleading my case for English stately homes vs French chateaux last week it seems like the perfect time to look at an English castle wedding. Amy and Dan’s big day was beautiful – a relaxed wedding in Cornwall at Pendennis Castle. Talk about a stunning venue – this is really pretty amazing.

wedding in cornwall Alan Law Photography (1)

I love how their wedding has a style rather than a theme. It seems a lovely way to make the day’s styling very personal: to choose things you both love rather than going for a single colour or theme and finding things to fit in. Amy looks absolutely gorgeous, and she and Dan created their very own magical day – it works a treat!

The images are by wedding photographer Alan Law, and Amy and Dan have shared their wedding story at the end of the blog post today. I loved reading it – especially the surprise mentioned in the title. You won’t want to miss it, I promise! I gasped and had a tear in my eye when I read it myself!

I’m always awestruck by the time and effort that goes into planning a wedding, so reading that Melissa designed her own wedding dress really impressed me! Add in all the creative touches to this beautiful English wedding and this is instantly a blog favourite.

rustic English wedding blog photography Shaun Taylor (1)

The gorgeous couple have the most romantic story and their wedding is simply wonderful too. Watch out for the cutest leaf name place settings, apple menu holders, flower jars with rustic twine, log table numbers and the burlap seating plan… all out of this world. The highlight of course has to be Melissa’s dress – I know you’ll love it.

Congratulations to the lovely Melissa and Jamie, and thank you to Shaun Taylor Photography for submitting their wedding for us all to share today. Enjoy! Claire xxx
